He's racing today? Does that seem absolutely absurd to anyone else?

Damn. That other car looks just as close to Ward.

That's what I have been saying. Ward moves out of that cars way but then jumps to get closer to TS.

If I wasn't so lazy this morning I would put it in slow mo and you could see it much better.

ETA: reposting it here since it was on the bottom last page

You can also tell that Ward has moved further down the track and further away from his car. Just a poor thought process on his part.

Him wanting to do it is bad enough, Nascar letting him do it is downright stupid and going to be a PR disaster.

If Nascar let's Stewart race, something is seriously fricking wrong with that sport. Adam Silver needs to step in and take care of business with this PoS. IMO, Stewart should not be allowed on any track affiliated with NASCAR until the case/trial is closed.

Has anyone addressed the reason a pro driver is racing with a bunch of amateurs?

Yes, it does. That would be one awkward victory lane interview.

That second photo also shows what I have been saying. It looks like Ward got too far down the track. You can see that it looks like he is slipping by how he is crouched and the way his right leg is extended... he's trying to shift back up the track.

Looks pretty open and shut to me. Guy (stupidly) walks in front of car thinking tony will slam on his brakes, Tony tries to avoid him and clips him. Nothing in that video shows me that tony did it purposefully

fricking lulz. The guy didn't walk in front of Stewart's car. He was off to the side of it. Tony being the dbag that he is gassed it thinking he would scare the guy.

They were under caution on a dirt track. The speed under caution was probably 20 mph.

Money talks and the fact that he's been doing this for a long arse time now brought him to the Sprint cars. I don't know if he needs the extra money, but if you are going to do something you love, why not try and get paid for it

because that's what Tony Stewart does. All he does is race.

A lot of pro (NASCAR, F1) drivers race on the lower circuits. Not an uncommon occurrence. IF you check out sprint car or cart racing on tv you see some known names in races quite often.

Plus all levels of drivers get paid. Not really an amateur/pro thing with racing.

Tracks WANT NASCAR drivers to come race at their track. Imagine the fans it brings.

Not shite. I tried to squeeze them in to fit here. What's to the left of the first pic has nothing to do with the point of the pics. It's just open track. They are also both different angles because the camera man moved then panned back to Ward as soon as Tony is coming around but anyone can still clearly see that the first car is not much lower on the track than TS.

Huh?
