Hope no charges are filed ever against TS and I've always hated that guy.
He'll get charged with something. Too much media now; the DA will feel forced to do something.

I don't doubt his report. I doubt Tony's sanity.

I believe this thought process is why its such a big story... Tony's reputation is really what this is about.. If it were Jimmy Johnson that ran the kid over, it would not be thought of in the same light

Sponsors are probably pushing him to, but he could also tell them no.

It's in bad taste all around.

The only other thing is that maybe they think he would be admitting guilt in a way if he didn't race. Could be his attorney telling him to carry on as normal.

You're a fool not to believe that was him.
What?

There are no cars in the shot when you hear the sound. It could have been any car on the track for any reason. Saying I'm a fool for not believing it's him is a joke right?

There are characteristics of acceleration in those sprint cars. Stewarts car wobbling and washing up the track is proof it was accelerating. None of the other cars were sideways going by, because the drivers were off the gas. It's pretty obvious to anyone that knows anything about this stuff. Sprint cars kick the rear end out when they accelerate. Just like stewarts car did in that clip.

They are called Grand Juries and they are a DA's best friend because they get him off of the political "hook."

If it were JJ, he wouldn't race today. I'm not talking about perception or true "at fault"... You just killed a guy racing a car and you're going to go out racing the next day?

That is still negligent homicide, imo. By TS revving his engine, he caused the back end of the car to swing out, clip and kill the guy. Intentional or not, he caused this person's death.

Ward walking out and purposes putting himself into oncoming traffic got himself killed...you're taught as a kid don't play in the street you're going to get hit and killed...again he chose to get out of the car and he chose to put himself in harms way into oncoming traffic...

People are forgetting the "beyond a reasonable doubt" part and unless there are much better videos, then it will be hard to prosecute him.

True, but if Stewart was wearing a GoPro, that will be pretty convincing evidence if you see Stewart move up the track toward the driver.

Stewart is one of the best race car drivers on the planet, how is he not in control of his racecar under caution?

He was in control. It looked to me like the car in front of him shielded Ward. Once Stewart was able to see him, his immediate reaction was to dive inside from an oncoming out of control Ward.

You have to remember there is no radio spotters. Therefore, Stewart does see the track slow down. However, he has no idea why or where it does.

There will be no charges. dude ran out in front of a car

So you're saying it was the body under his tire is why he lost control?

Um... he caused the wreck right? Of course he knows why and where...

I don't think the video shows that at all.

OR...and hear me out...it could be that Tony was turning his car to the left at the last second to avoid Ward who was jumping around in the middle of the track and that's why it looks like the car was "wobbling" and also cause the rear end to go right towards Ward.

Nothing is 100% for certain about what you stated despite you stating it as a fact.

I'm going by what I see in the video... not guess what was going on before you see his car in the shot... He's going faster than he should, IMO. He makes contact, wobbles, and goes further up the track. This doesn't prove there was acceleration in Ward's direction.

Everyone else seemed to manage to see the guy. The blue car before Stewart was slowed way down.

Maybe he wasn't expecting to see a GD person on the track and swerved to avoid him.

I don't watch this shite, but as a casual observer and after watching that video 10+ times... IMO, Tony attempts to gun it and fish tail it out of the way to avoid hitting him.

Looks like the guy got too close and was coming further down into Stewart's path, so he tried to kick it out away from him, but it was too late.
