This is conjecture on your part.

For a long time. And I'm no fan of his at all. Not in the slightest. He's a whining hot head.

That doesn't mean he set out to kill Ward. I'm not presumptive like that.

Audiotape? They do not use spotters or communication gear. The vehicles are too loud.

Yea those cars at low speeds are very difficult to handle. Nothing like a stock car.

And as far as whether tony stopped or not I could've swore I seen a picture of his car stopped on the track

And that could be taken to mean "acting like Ward was acting", right? I assumed "etc" was just a placeholder for his other actions: going at a moving vehicle and practically getting in front of it. What else could that etc mean?

I think he stopped after making another lap.

Is the guy who missed him one of the best drivers in the world?

Does he have a history of getting into confrontations ON the track with competitors?

Was he involved in this altercation?
Why does this matter? Ward stepped back to avoid getting hit by the 45, which could've easily happened with the way he was coming down the track.

Yeh TS was coming back to the guys car he just put in the wall and it never crossed his mind that the guy may try to confront him on the next pass. Y'all are so naive
I mean he could've thought the guy may try to confront him. Doesn't mean he knew the guy would be right on top of him when he came around.

Sure, I would run him over. I'm not a world class race car driver who's been doing this for decades.

No matter how good a driver he is, he is not superhuman and must still abide by the laws of physics.

Wtf was that dude doing? He's in the middle of the track walking towards the cars, the guy in front of Tony Stewart almost hit him too.
This is terrible man

I said I saw people get out on the track.

You said you saw MANY which isn't accurate. Considering the number of races every year vs the number of examples and times it has happened many just isn't true at all but I don't want to twist your words.

Which is exactly how I took it considering what the thread is about.

Are not more than a few races run every year?

It's still not a common occurrence, I don't care how you slice it. Precedence does not belie ubiquity.

Fireball Roberts was on of the greatest racers to race, and he wrecked and died trying to avoid another car. In a perfect world, being the best at what you do should insulate you from things going wrong, but it just doesn't work that way.

Sorry. I will quit posting now. Apparently only 3 or 4 people have ever set foot on pavement in anger during a race. I'm such a fool

I'll settle this argument: It happens. Not often, but it happens.

Now how in the world is that relevant to the discussion at hand?

Ok. I couldn't tell either way. Just thought if seen his car parked on the track in one of the photos.

I think people are seriously underestimating the lack of visibility factor here. Dirt tracks have poor visibility to begin with. Dirt is flying every where. On top of that those sprint cars have no windshield. So the drivers have dirt flying in their face. Sprint cars are kinda hard to see out of as well. Plus the kid is wearing all black and in the area the accident takes place the lighting is terrible. Even watching the video it takes a second to locate the kid walking on the track in some shots
