When I see wrecks, unless the car is about to blow up, the drivers usually stay in their car and wait on things to be cleared and the crew to come help them out of the vehicle but that's just me I guess. Maybe I am watching the wrong races.

You try avoiding something completely unexpected like that in adverse lighting and grip conditions. Ward is literally sidestepping up and down the track trying to confront Stewart's car and Stewart and the other drivers have no way of knowing Ward is even out of the car (or in some cases, that a wreck even occurred) until they're nearly on top of him.

If he was truly innocent, he would have stopped his car instantly and sprinted over to Ward as he was lying dead in the dirt.
He showed no remorse. Dude gives 0 fux. Have you not followed his career?

Nothing in the video suggests Stewart was at fault. There are logical reasons why it was an accident, but you'll never convince people who've made up their minds.
Based on reports last night, it sounded pretty incriminating. Goes to show you emotion can do wonders in altering perception.

No way TS or anyone thought this dude would be foolhardy enough to come storming into oncoming traffic at those speeds. Confrontation was likely, but what Ward did is a rare occurrence, even moreso in that type of racing environment.

I don't want to be "that guy" but the people that have never seen the Sprints live on dirt are just not going to understand it's almost completely different than NASCAR.

I can see it either way. Need more evidence. The thing with Stewart was the accelerating right as passing. May have been scaring. May have not seen him(which I doubt because with a wreck you are going to keep an eye towards it when passing). If scaring Stewarts issue is he knows the back end of those sprint cars kick out with accelerTion. It is how they are made and he knows more about dirt track sprints than just about anyone. I would like to see video of stewart before he reached him. Was he going slow did he go up the track. Etc. I am guessing more cell phone or other video will come out.
My guess is Stewart was scaring him by accelerating as he goes by and probably misjudged how close he really was. I could be totally wrong. But the acceleration (again if that is his acceleration we hear) goes with the rear kick out. Jmo

Sure, I would run him over. I'm not a world class race car driver who's been doing this for decades. Wasn't Tony involved in the wreck? He knew it happened. He knew where it was. Tony knows drivers get hot and get out. shite, he's done it.
