Sure. Just ignore the other guy who almost hit him.

Yep. It happens. Congrats, you changed what we were talking about so that you were right.

But when we were referring to "this", we were talking about what this guy did. Running towards a car that's coming at you out of a turn when it hasn't gotten down to caution speed. We said it's rare. And I've only seen 1 or 2 examples of it listed here in NASCAR. I would call that rare.

Wait...are down to drivers JUST getting out of their cars or drivers getting out and doing what Ward does because I have been talking about the latter the whole time.

You seem to be oversimplifying it now in order to "win" an argument.

Who knows what Stewart could or couldn't see in the moments leading up to the impact? Stewart's focus may have been on one or more of the other vehicles. He may not have anticipated Ward coming toward his car until it was unavoidable to hit him, and Stewart's reaction when he became aware of it was a natural sprint car driver's reaction to try and avoid a head on impact.

I'm not trying to make an excuse for Stewart, but all of the people claiming they know what was going on in Stewart's mind are full of crap. The video evidence is from the perspective of an off track observer. It is not the same as the perspective from within Stewart's car, nor from Stewart's line of sight.

I assume the people crucifying TS in the thread are just people that already hated the dude. I don't think you can even charge him based on the video.

That seems to be the case. People that don't really follow the sport and watch the video seem to be more level headed about the entire situation. I watch ESPN highlights and I know Stewart has a reputation but that doesn't make him a murderer.

Kid shouldn't have been on the track. He's an idiot, that doesn't change because he's dead. He's a dead idiot. He doesn't sashay his dumb arse onto the track, none of this happens.

Stewart doesn't look like he tried to avoid him but was that affected by visibility or the fact that he was trying to spin dirt in his face? Don't know that either side can be proven, which is why this case will go nowhere. Unless you have tape of Stewart saying he was going to get this guy they have jack shite.

No you guys changed it. Stout said that it does not happen.

And please see Seleck's Moustache pic which shows someone doing exactly what happened last night

My first reaction was frick Tony Stewart. After watching the video, the guy that got hit was a complete moron. He literally tried to get in front of Stewart, and it looks like Stewart just tried to swerve to miss the idiot asking to be hit and lost control of the car just enough.

You seem to think this is black and white when there are obviously more variables. Im not trying to blindly back one side of an argument or another to win the internet. Keep doing your thing.
Jesus. I'm the one saying there isn't enough evidence in the video for any conclusions other than Ward being an idiot for going after a moving vehicle. And I don't know how many more times I have to state that we only have a single video to judge this...

"exactly"

No. How fast were they going? Was he moving toward them? Did those drivers have spotters? Looks daylight to me. Concrete, not dirt.

Maybe I am watching the wrong races. I apparently need to watch the ones sponsored by the WWE.

In broad daylight. On a paved course. With spotters. At NASCAR caution speeds.

But yeah, besides that, exactly the same

I really hope this is the case but I'm having a hard time believing Tony Stewart doesn't know how to avoid hitting someone.

Yea, and you keep moving the ball to avoid admitting you were wrong. This was the very first exchange, I'll leave it at that.

Link?

Surely these are all over Youtube.

Was he not a driver, moving towards another moving vehicle, on the track, potentially in the path of others? How far do you guys have to break this down to "win"

Should we investigate what kind of underwear they were wearing to make sure all conditions were even?

unless TS decided to be very forthcoming to the cops last night i don't see how you could charge him based on that video barring some sort of incriminating audio from TS helmet or something like that

I never said it doesn't happen. It simply doesn't happen as often as you stated and again what Ward done is SUPER rare.

Not sure where he's wrong with that quote. He said they usually stay in their cars, which is true.
