Whoops, sometimes I give you guys too much credit.
When I say "out of her orbit", I mean out of her socioeconomic status and/or social surroundings (in this case, it would be fellow college students at her university that would fit her situation).
She was a D-1 college athlete that had university professors as parents and she was dating a bouncer from a bar.

He was 37 working as a bouncer. That alone should be a huge red flag for any educated young woman. Too bad our universities and schools don’t provide much education anymore.
