Then if your blanket assumption that 99% of sexual assaults are by the same race and there more white victims than black (and when weighted for population still more white victims) doesn’t that suggest there’s still a better statistical chance of being in an domestic violence incident with a white man than a black man?
Im done here

You’re the one that said 99% of domestic violence incidents are by the same race.
If there are significantly more white victims then what does that suggest? There’s not that many interracial couples in the US compared to same race couples.

The frick kind of life are you living where you’re pulling background checks and asking for age verification of people you hang out with?

Jesus christ
Here are the TOTAL numbers, not weighted
quote:So there are more black rape victims in TOTAL than white, not even taking into effect the population weighting
Of women who are raped in their lifetime: 17.9% are Caucasian, 11.9% are Latina, 18.8% are African-American, 34.1% are American Indian or Alaskan Native, and 6.8% are Asian or Pacific Islander. 24.4% are mixed race.
overall DV follows the same trend

She did?????
No, she didn't. Her friend told her about the guy's real background and only after that did she break up with him.
quote:
even if she did do you think a background check would have saved her life after he had already met her?
The earlier she cut off the relationship the more likely the recoil of the effect of the break up would be lessened, so absolutely it could have saved her life. The more the man got invested, the more he cared and the more he was emotionally destabilized.

its also much more normal to not do it.
Then I consider you naive to the present world of dating. I would encourage ALL women to do their homework on men they meet online or outside of their established social circles. It could save them a significant amount of time, stress, and emotional pain, and it just might in some cases save their life.

It was a month. That kind of crazy it wouldn’t have mattered if it was a week or a month.

Lesson learned: if you break up with a violent sexual criminal, leave town. Not blaming her,m. Somebody should have advised her better.

seems like a natural response. Everything she did was a natural response. Back ground checking everyone you meet is not a natural response.

if you can kill someone over a month long breakup, youll kill someone over a 2 week breakup

Just because you recommend it doesnt make it a natural thing to expect her to do

How do you know? There's no way to really tell, which is why you try to be aware in the first place before anything even happens on a romantic level.

Psychosis like that is usually pretty consistent despite relationship length.

Agreed. I have never back ground checked a single person i’ve met lol.
I feel like that is the case for most people.

I’m trying to imagine how much it would’ve cost me to run a background check on anyone I had a few drinks, publicly, at a local bar while I was single. It’s what? A good $15-$20 for just your county?

If I was her father, I'd fight to allow the guy to be released but only if they provided me with the day and time of his release
