Utah does not deserve to be in the playoffs

Their rush defense is horrific. They gave up 470ish to KSU last week and have already given up 125 to Kansas.

Alabama has the 117th ranked rushing offense but I’m sure that doesn’t bother you in their playoff chances….

Yes but they came back to win. Just like A&M came back to beat USCe after going down 30-3.
You can't really say one team making a huge comeback is a sign they have championship mettle but then say another team also overcoming a poor start means they stink.

Its been said for 3 weeks now that Utah's 12/13 playoff ranking was just a placeholder in case shenanigans happened in the Big12.
Notice how the Committee has just kept them there for awhile? No decision maker has ever believed they were playoff worthy.

They don't deserve that ranking? I feel like Utah deserves it more than #12 Miami.

I have no thoughts on Utah, but I mean, if y’all lose to Texas and Bama or Georgia or whoever in the SECCG), there will be a real sentiment that y’all don’t deserve to be in the playoffs too. Last 3 games of the season would have been 2 losses and the biggest comeback in school history to beat one of the worst teams in the entire conference.
I think a very legitimate case that you shouldn’t make it in could be made. I wouldn’t make it because I don’t think you should be penalized for having to play in the SECCG, but some people definitely would. And if you look bad in the hypothetical losses, I might even make it myself. And if I’m making it, I know some people on the CFP committee will be making it too.

If we lose to Texas, we don’t play in the SECCG and therefore can’t lose to Bama or Georgia.
If we beat Texas, an undefeated season in the SEC absolutely merits a playoff spot.
