"Accordingly, USC is considered a "repeat violator" under NCAA Bylaw19.5.2.3. The institution also had infractions cases in 1986, 1982, 1959 and 1957, all of which involved its football program."

I guess I see why the USC(w) press conference was cancelled. There isn't much you can say in the face of such a damning verdict.

I guess Floyd didn't lack enough control for USC's tastes.

On January 8, 2006, one of the agency partners called the assistant football coach asking for assistance in convincing the former student-athlete to adhere to the agency agreement or reimburse the partners for the money and benefits they provided. The assistant football coach failed to alert the university compliance staff of this information and later provided false and misleading information to the enforcement staff regarding his knowledge of the violations. Based on these actions, the committee found the assistant football coach violated NCAA ethical-conduct rules and violated NCAA legislation by failing to report knowledge of possible violations.
which assistant coach was this?

which assistant coach was this?
Todd McNair, special teams and RBs coach who was with Reggie getting wined and dined by the marketing agents in late 2004.
They had receipts paid for by the agents with McNair and Bush's signatures in Tarnished Heisman.

They have pretty much consistently snubbed their noses at the NCAA, they have this assistant coach being investigated and he at this point still isn't fired. Then they have to hire a new coach so they hire Lane Kiffin, a guy who not only has made his name via secondary violations and apparent disdain for the NCAA but who also was a part of the staff at the time the violations happened.
Say what you want about Bama but when the NCAA calls now we come running and sit, roll over, go get the paper, etc.

"USC shall prohibit all non-institutional personnel, including representatives of the institution's athletics interests...d. Having access to sidelines and locker rooms before, during and after football and men's basketball games."
No more Snoop Dogg or Will Ferrell on the sidelines.
