Of course there’s no chance, because there’s no way in hell Carol Folt would ever sign off on his hiring.

No chance at James Franklin also….

If he was ever planning on going to USC then why take the Jacksonville job?

More money? Preference of coaching college kids? Unlimited resources in the new NIL transfer portal era of CFB? Putting together a new coaching staff that doesn't have the ones undermining him in Jacksonville and leaking things to the press?

What are the odds of Urban pulling a Petrino and leaving Jacksonville overnight for USC?

That would be 'Pulling a Colts'.

Time to start monitoring his wife's tweets and the background drapes.

Think he'll beat Petrino's speed record?

Like I mentioned I’m not really convinced he will (outside of him looking like he was lying through his teeth in that video)

But the argument or logic of that would be that he is not liking his NFL experience so far and wants to go back to college and that job is the life raft to get him there

It’s the same concept for other coaches, Saban could’ve had the Bama job before going to the NFL, Petrino could’ve have the Arky job before going to the NFL. That doesn’t mean it isn’t possible for them to watch to go there after experiencing the NFL and not liking what that is like

think he sees this NFL thing through.

Would be the first time he’s seen any of these jobs through

meh. Only from a contract standpoint. He spent 6 years at Florida and 7 at Ohio state. That's more than plenty.

His family loves the central Florida area (has a Lakehouse on the outskirts of Orlando). He’s not leaving there.

I’m just saying he eventually pulled a Fred Sanford when things get tough at programs with every possible advantage available to him so it’s not much of a stretch to imagine that timeline can or will be accelerated at the NFL level

I think Jacksonville is Urban’s final coaching job

Personally, I don’t think he really wants to coach, but he needed one more big payday before going full-on media/retirement long-term

He’ll ride it out with Jacksonville until they fire him, which they inevitably will in 2-3-4 years

No one of note will go to USC under the current conditions.

The HC is not allowed to make decisions. Any decisions. All hirings are through the AD, the HC isn't allowed to call plays, etc.

Pete Carroll ran roughshod over that program. The legacy of it still stands.

Sources say “there’s no chance they trust what urban Meyer says. “

He is a college coach. Most comfortable there. With a few medical issues one of which I believe is plain old Anxiety Disorder. I don’t think he has the staying power to eat shite for 2-3 years of a rebuild and hold a rookie QB through the NFL transition. When he’s making the same transition himself.
