Should rename themselves the Pac10.

Can’t wait for 2024

- SEC with OU and Texas
- B1G with USC, UCLA, UO and UW
- The debut of the mega Big 12
- Expanded 12-team playoff

Football mayhem

SC had an awesome schedule in 24. I hope we can keep Michigan and PSU, but I have a feeling those will be replaced by Oregon and WA

The matchups aren’t more intriguing though lol. Nobody needs or cares to see Washington vs Indiana or UCLA vs Michigan State etc. People on the west coast DO CARE about Washington vs Oregon State or Washington State etc. College football is trying too hard to be the NFL and forgetting what makes it great in the first place. The sport’s heartbeat is the regionality of it.

Oregon is going to continue to play Oregon St.

This is better for Oregon.

I am intrigued to play a Penn St more than losing of a game against Cal.

I’m guessing the B1G PAC 4 schools will play each other yearly. 18 teams isn’t exactly a good number of teams. 10 conference games, 3 permanents, rotate other 7 opponents? 9 conference game, 5 perms, play the other 12 schools every 3 years (4).

I’m saying the top 32(picking this number to equate it to the NFL) break away and form their own league. Probably outside of the ncaa, but maybe not.

It’s a big gamble to assume the fans (and therefore the money) will support and follow this model.

Leaving out large swaths of the country, breaking up rivalries and crushing tradition and history will prove to be a horrible decision.

College football is successful because it’s not the NFL. Making it more like NFL is asinine.

So as of right now, this could be the new B1G setup:

EAST

Ohio State
Penn State
Michigan
Michigan State
Illinois
Indiana
Purdue
Maryland
Rutgers

WEST

USC
UCLA
Oregon
Washington
Wisconsin
Iowa
Nebraska
Minnesota
Northwestern

Top to bottom…I think the B1G West is the better division in this alignment.

I’ll laugh if, among the PAC 12 dissolving, the leaving teams take the rights to the name so that the new inferior conference out west can’t use that name…

Think of it as Elon Musk still owning the rights to “Twitter” even though it’s “X” now. You think he’d want someone to start a shittier app and call it “Twitter”?

I find it hard to believe the SEC is going to kick out schools. We just might be the most solid conference.

That kind of set up would completely destroy what makes CFB special.

Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Okie State, TCU, Baylor, and Texas Tech say hi.

Within the BIG, there will be 8 teams geographically West and 4 teams geographically Northwest of Northwestern

They should feel the worst out of the remaining four that are all fricked. They could have stopped UCLA, and without UCLA, USC probably does not leave either.

They also teamed up with Stanford to veto any religious school and any school whose academics weren't "good" enough. They made their bed.

exactly. The more it becomes like the NFL, the more it will kill itself.
