I've told you this 4 times. ND is tied to the ACC GOR.

Indeed. ND is signing a new NBC deal and staying with their current ACC arrangement for many years to come.

You're assuming the ACC survives if the SEC decides to start plucking schools like Florida State and Clemson from that conference.

This is the move i think. Offer Stanford a 25% share( or whatever TV thinks they ate worth). Stanford donors would probably provide funding to make up the difference. They basically funded all the non rev sports during the COVID year.

This should finally get ND off their high horse and join the league.

The SEC is not doing that.

...Yet. The B1G and Big 12 are making moves and Florida State wants out of the ACC real badly. Clemson is rumored to be unhappy as well. It's only a matter of time before that conference gets raided. And given the geographic location of a majority of the schools in the ACC, it only makes sense for the SEC to be the one who does the raiding.

Um, ok? I don't recall you at all so, yeah.

ND's agreement within GOR is different than the full ACC members.

My understanding is they would only need to provide the buyout and nothing tied to future TV revenue like Florida St.

They ate in the ACC GOR yes but football is exempt. If they left the league they would not have to play the $100s millions that FSU and Clemson would.

Their exit would be much cheaper.

I wonder if Kliavkoff is sending drunk drunk texts to the Washington and Oregon presidents yet. Maybe while Verne Gosdin "That Just About Does It" plays in the background.

Not any time remotely soon. ESPN hold the SEC and ACC deals. There is no benefit for change between the 2 leagues for them. How unhappy Clemson and FSU are means absolutely nothing because they are stuck in a long, terrible GOR with no better options. ESPN is happy with the arrangement.

The SEC did not get the immediate financial benefits for taking on the far more valuable Texas-OU combo than they expected. ESPN did not even want to pay them to expand to 9 league games for better TV matchups. Clemson and FSU are simply not near that valuable so there's no good reason now or any time soon for the SEC to do anything.

Would all these teams be changing conferences at the start of the 2024 season or later?

I think the Big 10 will add Stanford for their academics and to corner the market on every irrelevant title IX sport in existence

I still can't believe some tech billionaire hasn't bailed these schools out.

Because even they know it's for nothing

What are you even bailing out?

Go look at the crowd the last few years at Stanford and Cal games. It's as pathetic as you will ever see.

Who is going to spend their own money putting expensive lipstick on a puddle of diarrhea?

Stanford also moves the needle for ND. I still think eventually they'll join the Big 10. Too much money involved not to

Irrelevant in the current landscape as far as money and conference realignment is concerned.

Oregon's move to the Big Ten might not be what USC bargained for, @PeteThamel reports??

USC and UCLA should try to call the whole thing off.
