An obnoxious New Jersey Yankee is gonna ruffle some feathers at a place like UNC Chapel Hill. A dude like that is going to clash with the more gentile southern culture there. It's inevitable.
Lombardi being considered an obnoxious a-hole has spanned regional bounds.

Think your conflating an offensive philosophy with play calls. Belichick wasn’t out there calling offensive plays.
Also changing the play from a kneel down to a pass is a bit more egregious of a move than just checking to a pass in the first quarter
And given Koser started a total of like 5 games after he left Cleveland, BB seemed to be correct on his skills. Idk why him winning a SB as a backup for Dallas somehow made it “worse” as that article claims.

I’d love for someone to tell me where someone like this won’t ruffle feathers in 2026? You think big city folk that are full of me too hard left libs are putting up with it? Mid west people? I mean where?
Guy was just an obnoxious idiot that was protected by Belichek and didn’t realize Belichek has little or no pull anymore.

Bellichick was the HC in Cleveland when Bernie was under center.....so plausible plus Bellichick had Saban as DC.....soooooo he had to be going something.

By this logic Parcells must’ve been calling offensive plays for the giants because he had bill belichick as his DC. It’s nonsense

Belichick was still steaming a day later when, citing “diminishing skills,” he unceremoniously cut Kosar.

The Denver loss began a 2-7 nosedive to finish the season.
The Browns stayed mediocre with a 7-9 record and third place in the division.
If this is all true, it seems especially insane considering the Browns were 5-2 before the Denver game, lose it, then Bill cuts Kosar.

sounds like Michael has been pissing off a lot of people.
Shocker.
Pablo Torre did a piece on him months ago basically calling some of his past jobs into question.
mainly the 49ers in the 80's if I recall correctly. They had Bill Walsh's son on basically saying that Lombardi did not have the duties he claimed to have then with the 49ers.

Its more of Bernie was the home town kid that rigged the system to come home and play for the Browns.
and was damn good at it.
When Schottenheimer was here , no issues.
Scored points, kicked arse, and came close.
But Elway.
Then, Belichick came in and problems....
Like I said, ego's....
But Bernie was just a QB, not head coach, so, know your role.
That said, Cleveland and NEOhio, would love to see Lombardi burn on his own self made funeral pyre.

Nah he's just a dick. Has the ego as if the won all of Bill's rings. People don't let it slide when they're stinking up the joint.
