I didn't see it, but apparently some ULaLa folks were melting down on Twitter last night because a Lafayette sports bar urged folks to watch the LSU baseball game there.

I'm a fan of their podcast, but not a great look. Not sure if they are taking the banter with LSU Twitterverse personally or just using it to attract more eyeballs to their account.

Probably a little bit of both. They have some good content, but they troll from time to time for clicks. This is probably one of those times.

If it’s to get more exposure I have to think it backfires to some degree.
I muted them last night when I saw it because it was so dumb that I know I’m not interested in anything they’ll ever have to say.

Cajun fans are the easiest Louisiana fan base to hate. They are comical with their logic sometimes. I love having a good laugh at them when they trip on their own lips.

Frustration and acceptance is setting in for the holdout Cajuns fans
Cajuns finished ranked in football two years in a row under Napier, baseball back to back regionals, softball supers, basketball conf Champs and NCAA bid..
At the very least you would expect that level of success to get you into Southern Miss fanbase territory.. And yet we can't get 20k people to show up to a football game.
Then you see lines of people at Albertsons buying snacks and cases of Bud Light to watch LSU women basketball final four.
Fact is, if you can't get to meaningful games in any sport, you just aren't going to get casual fans to follow you. And with the P5/G5 divide + NIL system, there's really no path to meaningful success for a midling G5 school
