I have a question for all ULL alumni, since using Louisiana is just for athletic branding, do you tell people you graduated from Louisiana-Lafayette since that is the official academic name???

I say UL locally, and will say UL Lafayette to people not from here. I also use University of Louisiana at Lafayette on my resume.
Should put "THE University of Louisiana" and send it out to random places in BR though to see if a thread pops up on the OT about it.

I only have to say UL, due to the close proximity of Lafayette to Baton Rouge. No one has ever asked me "Lafayette or Monroe?" unless they're from Monroe.

I just ask because i have plenty of friends that went or go to UL Lafayette and not one of them has ever said they go to UL Lafayette, they all say UL so i call BS on the athletic branding part

I act like the ULer is referring to Monroe every time I hear it in person. There is zero percent chance I let the comment slide without a rebuttal of some sort. Including by a couple Laffy buddies of mine that I hunt with. They still drop UL, I still play dumb like their talking about Monroe. Every fricking time

No one in the country thinks for a second that either school is the states flagship school. I think (hope) most LSU fans care only because it pisses off ULL fans.
