This is coming from a former high school coach..

Every team public and private are "recruiting". All worth while coaches are observing young talent, and trying to get those players to their school. Now, it normally doesn't go past a conversation at a rec park with the parents and or a phone call about how school X would be good for their kid. Oh, and it's 99% of the time with kids not committed to a high school. Other schools go past that and siphon established talent from other highschools, that's wrong and that ends up giving many mediocre privates a bad name. I typed all this cause I'm still bitter about the split. Travesty I tell ya

but should Curtis win, the Catholic league will have won 3 of the 5 D-1 select state championships, and has been represented in 4 of the 5 games

Over half of D-1 is Catholic league so this is just stupid.

Well those teams have won it the past 2 years and one is back in the title. I'd say both of those programs are perennial threats in a 13 team division.

Tzimme4 and Midas not only is dls not one of the best 2 in la they not one of best 5 in BR
