I watched the Brian sutter YouTube video on the injury. He said when he planted to throw what we thought was a rolled ankle was his ankle breaking but not breaking through the skin yet. When he stepped back it went. I want them to run back O’Malley vs the green haired guy what a fight

The twist is what finished it off. It was already broken. When that exact moment happened is debatable. It wasn’t affecting him before they went to the ground. Now that I see that elbow kick, it all makes sense

When he broke his ankle the tibia went. Put a lot of force on the broken ankle and the tibia just broke

Him yelling on the ground about Poirier’s wife while he can’t even stand was one of the most embarrassing combat sports moments I’ve ever seen.

It was pathetic.

Conor fans: complain about Dustin’s actions after the match, but not Conor’s own actions. Making excuses on how he broke his leg. They think he would have won the fight if he didn’t break his leg.

Dustin fans: See no problem with Dustin mocking and talking shite to Conor while he is sitting there with a broke leg, but complain about Conor’s actions. Want to talk about Conor breaking his leg on a check that Dustin felt, but Conor had no reaction about it. Believe Dustin would have won no matter what, and there was no way Conor could knock him out in the second even if he didnt brake his leg.

You can chalk the talking up as adrenaline and wanting to beat the shite out of each other for months but couldn’t. Dustin’s wife should never be allowed in a ring again. How the leg broke drama is bs. It doesn’t matter if it was on a check, elbow or by a misstep by Conor. It happened, and Conor lost bc of it. If Conor fractured it during the fight then you have to say Conor is a bad Fricker to keep fighting on it while kicking (if Dustin felt it crack Conor would have to). You also have to say the fight could have gone totally different if the fracture didn’t happen.

Only way for Conor to ever win that fight is by knocking Dustin out in the first 2 rounds. Conor just isn’t the same “Notorious” in that weight class.

At this point Dustin has taken conors best shots. Of course it's possible for conor to knock him out but it would have to be a shot poirier didn't see coming. LINK look how much stronger dustin looks here.

I honestly hope poirier goes and gets the belt and conor needs to beat at least 2 top 5 guys before he gets a shot at the title

Not going to happen.

Conor is now going to be a payday for actual great fighters until he retires.

I’m not a fan of either. I’m just calling it like I see it. Dustin was gonna end that fight in the 2nd. Conor was gassed, like always, after he spent all that energy on that frivolous guillotine attempt.

In his defense, Conor was cussing at him from his backside at the time. The a-hole eating, while funny, was uncalled for

You can tell that the guys who fight Connor are just exhausted by all that goes with it and I don’t blame them.

It’s a great pay day and a W on their record but khabib and Dustin looked mentally drained from living in that fish bowl.

Connor lives in that dark place and if you’re not used to it you get trapped their. You may beat him but you’re still miserable while doing it

Poirier shouldn't fight him again. There's nothing to gain. He'll win again, McDoushe will run his mouth again after he loses. Rinse, lather repeat.

Mac is around 32-33 years old, worth mega-millions, won several championships in the UFC, he has had an amazing run in MMA that very few have had.
He has a few young children to think about.

If he was smart, he would hang up the MMA fighting while he still has his health.
He peaked in MMA a few years ago.

Yes he is still a big draw

It'll take a long time to come back from that. Be broke through both bones in his leg. Technically it will grow back just as strong, if not stronger for a brief time, but you know he'll be thinking about that with every kick in the future.
