Went to the fight and had a blast. I like poirier but was rooting for McGregor, sucks what happened but I had some feeling all night a fighters leg would snap, sucks it was the main card.

Fans were great, you could tell everyone was happy to be at an event again after the past year.

Hardy getting knocked out was awesome, crowd went nuts when his opponent came out to Spice Girls and drank out of a shoe like Old Gregg lol.

My personal favorite part was when Pereira did his backflip mid-fight, crowd went apeshit.

The arena was most loud when Trump came in, it was also really cool seeing the Sunny gang and Jon Snow in the crowd.

Paid a shitload to go to the fight but I think it was understood this might be McGregors last fight, had a playoff sort of vibe. Had an absolute blast either way.

This fight was a fricking dud. I love me some Conor, but I was pulling for Poirier to win, just not in that fashion.

Conor needs to learn how to grind in the fricking gym again after he rehabs. He needs to get hungry again. Honestly, his accountants need to steal all of his money, make him go broke, and he needs to get that passion back into his game to where he either puts up or his family doesn't eat. That's the dangerous Macgregor right there.

He's essentially that guy from high school that did some legendary shite back in the day, talked ALOT of shite, backed it up by beating some bad mofos, but then decided to turn into a house cat and forget his killer mindset just for the pay day hoping that his past solidifies his legacy. At this point, he's only hurting his legacy. He either needs to fully retire from UFC, or grind it out, starting from the bottom, work his way up fighting the scrubs every 3 months, and reclaim whatever weight class title he wants. That would solidify his legacy, at least IMO, if he could reclaim any UFC title.

At the end of the day Poirier deserves any and every chance at exposure/titles that are available. Conor is now old news. I want Dustin to get his shot at the belt. Give him a shot at Oliviera at the next major PPV. I'd bet ALOT of money on Poirier.

Man all I could think of after that result is all the people that broke the bank to go to that fight for it to end like that. I’d be pissed. Glad you had a good time though

I get some people are fans of Conor more so than MMA but how you all can’t see Poirier was clearly dominating that fight is beyond me. Conor has a career of fading as the fight goes on, he needed to dominate the 1st. He lost the round 10-8. Dustin did point to his foot and is pretty honest about his fights so I believe him when he says he felt something strange happen, likely an injury.

At this point, McGregor is an early 2000s Mike Tyson. Still a top draw, no longer a top fighter. More a sideshow at this point.

Explains why conner stayed on the ground. He hurt that leg earlier. He had at least two opputunities to get up, and didnt.

It’s mma so anything can happen but Dustin was clearly dominating that fight.

Is there any evidence -- at all -- that his happened? No

Yes there is...you can watch Conor slap Dustin’s leg with his foot and his ankle visibly looked different and he looked like he was trying to keep his weight off of it. He was also doing nothing with that leg on the ground, he was only using his good leg to push Dustin back and create space when Dustin was on top of him. There’s a lot of evidence if you know what you’re looking at and know what he should’ve been doing in certain situations if his ankle wasn’t hurting to some degree

Inactivity, lack of commitment to the fight game, and not training in a top gym are what done him in. The fight game moves too fast you can’t get far without good training and the commitment to being the best.

Compare the guys that Dustin has been In the cage with and his coaching and the killers he is training with everyday. It’s just not comparable.

Same shite happened to rousey. You can only get so far on talent alone.

I didn’t get a chance to re-watch the fight but did Connor throw any more kicks after Dustin pointed to him on that check?

I was drinking but don’t remember any more leg kicks after that.

Conner only attempted those because he was injured. He wanted off that leg.

It was desperate and not like him at all,

I only saw the highlights he clearly wasn’t too mobile and was clearly losing.

His talking shite act is too old

Him yelling on the ground about Poirier’s wife while he can’t even stand was one of the most embarrassing combat sports moments I’ve ever seen.

It was pathetic.

His leg was fine at the time. He did it cause Poirier was dropping bees on him
