17-1 in national title games between the men and women

6-0 for the men’s and 11-1 for the women’s. Regardless of your views of UConn you have to give them some respect

UConn is definitely up there with the Blue Bloods and deserves the spot. Well done, Huskies.

The last 2 seasons UConn men have won every game in the tournament by double digits

Geno Auriemma is BY FAR the greatest women's basketball coach of all time ... but today's media won't give him his props because of his skin color and gender.

eh…. UCLA still has the most titles by a pretty comfortable margin and are still relevant in modern day making multiple final 4’s and other deep runs in the tournament. Now Indiana? Absolutely and there shouldn’t be an argument.

They need to be better in the regular season… it’s one thing to win the tournament, it’s another to win it with the biggest target on your back

Even as a 1 seed they haven’t had years conducive to being a blueblood. They need to go undefeated one year and have one of the GOAT college teams

Indiana

i've never considered Indiana a "blue blood"... they are in that next tier, just like UConn

They went 28-3 in the regular season. Sure, they had their asses kicked by Creighton and Seton Hall, but they also kicked those teams' asses and crushed Marquette twice.

They lost 3 regular season games this year. To Kansas, Seton Hall, and Creighton. And I think all were road games.

Plus they had injuries. Castle missed the Kansas game and Clingan got hurt during the Seaton Hall game where he was dominating.

Yep. They've got no excuse for the Creighton loss (other than they've never won on the Bluejays' home court), but those other losses wouldn't have happened if they'd been fully healthy.

They played 1 Seed higher than a 3 in two tournaments, and they had a 7'2 guy to match up with Edny at 7'4. Miracle run is aided by playing 5 seeds in the final four last year and 8 seeds like Ark. who beat Kansas, who imho, would have beaten them last year. hell they beat them this year right?

This is a whole lot of selective speculation. Fact is, UConn has won 12 straight NCAA tournament games by no less than 13 points while everyone else is getting upset by lower seeds.

You complain about them beating low seeds, yet those low seeds got there because all the higher seeds keep losing to them, while UConn doesnt.

What?!

They were awesome this season, a #1 seed, and the Vegas favorite to win it all. They absolutely had a target.
