I wonder if UCLA will have the balls to kick LiAngelo Ball off the team (assuming that China just simply deports him).

Serious question...is Yao Ming being contacted to intercede on behalf of these players? Seems like he may have some pull.

Yeah ... he's already responded:

I googled it after reading that; it's amazing.

Japanese gang figures got new livers at UCLA

quote:

A TIMES INVESTIGATION Japanese gang figures got new livers at UCLA Recipients included one of Japan's top crime bosses. Some fear a chilling effect on organ donations. May 30, 2008|John M. Glionna and Charles Ornstein | Times Staff Writers Email Share UCLA Medical Center and its most accomplished liver surgeon provided a life-saving transplant to one of Japan's most powerful gang bosses, law enforcement sources told The Times.

In addition, the surgeon performed liver transplants at UCLA on three other men who are now barred from entering the United States because of their criminal records or suspected affiliation with Japanese organized crime groups, said a knowledgeable law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The four surgeries were done between 2000 and 2004 at a time of pronounced organ scarcity. In each of those years, more than 100 patients died awaiting liver transplants in the Greater Los Angeles region.

“UCLA Men’s Basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, who were arrested for allegedly shoplifting sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store in China, have been released on bail, according to ESPN’s Arash Markezi. The trio is now staying at a hotel in Hangzhou with a UCLA representative, who was not identified. They are being required to remain at the hotel until the legal process is over, according to the report.“

The most hysterical part is if you read the comments underneath the tweet about them being on bail, a lot of black people are convinced they were arrested for simply being black... it is literally always someone else’s fault

Don't they realize Chinese are a minority here? Dummies.
