The dude is 6-9 and 275 pounds and is agile as hell. He could have been an an NFL left tackle under different circumstances, also would make a hell of a basketball player. He’s an underrated athlete in today’s sports.

Agreed, but I mean he’s from the UK so he didn’t really choose to not play football, but I was just trying to make the point that he is as incredible of an athlete as NFL and NBA players.

6'9 with a 7 foot wingspan would probably get him signed to some lower levels but he would probably get bodied in the NBA with how skinny his legs are

it's almost like his entire life, body, skillset, etc... would be different had he dedicated himself to a different sport

More than anything Tyson Fury shows how boxing has declined in the U.S. especially among heavyweights. I believe a lot of guys who are playing high-level college basketball but who will never be NBA players could with proper training become heavyweight champs.

If he didn't box, he'd probably weigh 350 pounds.

And therefore be the most agile Sumo Wrestler.

Fury couldn't have been a left tackle with those chicken legs.

OP is just trying to say he’s incredibly coordinated for a 6’9 fat guy.

You’re focusing on the wrong sport, champ. All of the great athletes boxing is missing out on is playing football not basketball. After all, Deontay Wilder himself was a former football player who was able to get to the top just on athleticism and sheer determination alone. There’s also a lot more overlap in terms of the athletic attributes required to be a successful football player with boxing than there is between basketball and boxing.

Watch his early fights when he was still lean. He was a punching machine.

Have you seen this dude? He has skinny bird legs. Unless he is gaining 50 lbs in his legs, he is not playing pro ball of any kind.

In the head? I wouldn't think so. NFL doesn't even do full contact practice anymore.
