That strike zone...dayum!

Strike 3 to Duran was definitely a wide strike... but the other called one was legit.

Why do people say things like this? Barring dissolution of the league, yes it will.

Striking out three faced hitters on 9 pitches.

Learned something new, I would have assumed it was 3 outs on 3 pitches

Question: can any of the strikes be a foul ball to count towards this?

Well, maybe but from what I've gone thru, this is the first time in MLB history it's happened twice in one game. Plus it was twice against the same 3 batters.

EDIT: ESPN is saying it happened twice in 1 game 1 other time, in 1988

That was the bad one, but that was very bad...and it expands the zone to hitters in future ABs. Dude took advantage of it expanding the zone and creating a few chase and misses.

A Blessing, considering how long baseball games can be.

don't know, but my son once hit into a triple play on the first (and only) pitch a reliever threw.

that's about as efficient as you can get.
one pitch, credit for a full inning.

Cool. What's an immaculate inning?

Did each batter get fertilized from the mound without penetration? Which pitcher gets credit as the father, Luis or Phil?

Might want to google what immaculate means

I thought this would be exceedingly rare, but it happens a lot. Happened 5 times in the NL alone in 2021.
