Just awful. I gotta say, as fired up as I was this morning about the football weekend, this news took all that enthusiasm out of me. I don't know the guy or really follow Tulane anymore. I'm just a college football fan and this story is absolutely devastating. Let's all hope for some better news in 48 hours. Damn. Prayers sent to the Green Wave.

I'm sure I don't know her. Educationally, I'm quite a few years behind her.

As far as the pressors, I heard about them from someone else who has been following this story in various outlets and then I saw them between his legs on his IV line when ESPN showed him going into the ambulance.

I thought NC Tigah just reported that the collapsed lung wasn't due to the hit. He didn't say that it didn't happen.

I glanced at his post and I thought I was confirming what he already said. Either way - It didn't happen.

As morbid as this sounds, I'd kinda like to see the play again. With the angle they gave, it didn't look like something as horrid as what happened should have happened. Prayers sent to both the family and the Wave.

Seriously doubted it happened. That was the point.
Mine was simply an educated guess though.

OTOH, her post sounds to be based on a bit more information.

I wouldn't say that. Remember the Georgia baseball player? Same type of play. Doesn't take much when you are running with force & use your head as a buffer

That could be the reason they are only showing that angle. A side view of the impact might show how much compression his cervical spine received, which could be quite disturbing. I think it's also a safe bet that they have that angle since the game was televised and it happened over the ball carrier where several of the cameras were likely pointed.

Just saw in this video it was literally the last play of the half. Not blaming them, but it's a real shame that Tulsa didn't just take a knee or run the ball to get to half time.

And he really shouldn't. No one can predict that. It's not like they were passing from their own 20, either. Just one of those sad "what ifs" that can drive you crazy.
