For those that don't know, his wind pipe was basically cut open and air was passed through a tube and the medic basically was breathing for him.

Not good news, at all.

Hope the guy pulls through, it's awful to get a chance to live your dream and have a negatively life altering experience because of it.

You can break your neck and not be paralyzed. There's a chance. Hope for the best.

That's horrible. I'm sure the docs on the board can chime in, but sounds like the injury is above C4.

If he needed a trache, it's probably a full break to the c-spine or brain stem.


Just an EMT though, not a Dr.

Damn Im near tears.

This one hurts.

This is exactly what I feared would happen on a football field one day. Sucks that it's someone I know.

This might be the end of football as we know. It's just not worth it
