Not a great looking schedule. Wave needs to have a bowl season out of this one. The game @ OU is not going to be pretty.

9/2 v. Grambling
9/9 @ Navy
9/16 @ Oklahoma
9/23 v. Army
9/30 Bye Week
10/7 v. Tulsa
10/14 @ FIU
10/21 v. USF
10/27 @ Memphis
11/4 v. Cincinnati
11/11 @ ECU
11/18 v. Houston
11/25 @ SMU

Prediction: PAIN

they aren't going to lose to Grambling, and they aren't going to beat OU. Spend the entire offseason practicing against the run option. If they can beat Army & Navy, and go into the bye week at 3-1, that would setup for a solid season.

well, Tulane runs the run option, right?

So I would assume their defense would be used to defending it.

Grambling should be an easy win. Navy and Army will both be tough. They need to be no worse than 2-2 after the Army game.

If they can somehow go 3-1 to start I could see them going 6-6 or 7-5 and make a bowl game which would be a good step for that program.

Probably Going to come down to how good the new QB is.

I wish Tulane would get decent again. I used to love going to NO as a kid in the late 70's-early 80's for a Tulane-Saints weekend. Tulane had some good teams in the Dome back then. SEC teams Ole Miss, State, Kentucky, Vandy, Florida, and LSU. I also remember Ga Tech, FSU, SMU with the Pony Express, Clemson in 81 when they win the NC, and other rivals like USM and Memphis St. coming to the Dome. Back then Tulane would sometimes play 6-7 SEC teams a year. Good times I miss.

I still enjoy the doubleheader.
Just cause it ain't the best brand of football doesn't mean you can't enjoy the new stadium and local atmosphere.

Grambling isn't going to be an easy win. They are very well coached and should have knocked off Arizona last season if not for their starting QB getting hurt. Grambling was ahead 21-3 at halftime.

Tulane may still win but it won't be a guarantee.

If I put on the green glasses I can see 6 wins and a bowl game, but realistically we will struggle again. I'm hoping that I'm wrong and there's some tremendous improvement. Maybe the O line will be better and Jonathan Banks could surprise some people. He has great speed and looks to have a decent arm, but what concerns me is how much he turned the ball over in community college.

Don't overlook Grambling. They almost beat Arizona at Arizona last year, and that was their only loss of 14 games last year. They'll be pumped and ready, and wanting that win.

Tulane football gives me a lot to worry about, but honestly I'm not worried about Grambling.

You would think so.

And yeah, I don't know what Grambling returns from last year's team, but if they are close to the same team they were last year, they could definitely beat Tulane.

Should have scheduled this one at a neutral site. If Stoops thinks it's a bowl game we have a chance.

If it's Brandon Harris they won't win.
