ULL will always be Southwestern Louisiana to me. That's a name they deserve.

Because that is not their name. I wish the state of Louisiana had a UL to have a natural rival for LSU but that is just not the case. It's merely a marketing ploy by ULL to appear big time just as UCF claiming to be National Champions is.

Every week there are member school fans asking if they could find a way to replace Tulane.

The caravan is leaving Lafayette on 12/14 at Reds at 8am.

The Marriott Orlando has already blocked off the 150 rooms for the ULL fans coming to the game.

I just wish they would have kept USL (Univ. of South Louisiana) and NLU (North Louisiana Univ.). That would have been great for both b/c and they would have had their own identity. Nothing wrong w/ South LA or North LA University. Univ. of Southern California is no slander, bring back USL !

Grad of both LSU and USL (grad school) FWIW.

Sweet unis for both here !

Is this the shittiest bowl matchup of the year?

What’s the over/under on fans in the stands? 6000? 8000???

One school isn’t even using their real name, and the school they’re playing is the actual University of Louisiana.

If I’m the New Orleans Bowl Committee, I’m depressed seeing this matchup. The opportunity cost associated with this bowl is staggering.
