The Fins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa agreed to a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension with $167.1 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Friday, per sources informed of the deal.Jul 26, 2024

Damar was trying to even out his KD ratio.

Exactly. He’s not going anywhere. He SHOULD retire but people are so over reactionary. It’s not gonna happen

He SHOULD retire. But he’s not going to. He’ll miss the next 2-3 games and come back wearing the guardian cap
There was at least SOME hope that the whiplash skull cracks into the turf were the only reason he was suffering so many concussions.
We now know those are unavoidable AND he’s catching concussions with normal contact now.
He’s gotta retire.

He'll play again this year. Unless he decides to retire

It would be unconscionable to let him play again.

But I think he retires.

He just signed that contract. You guys are being melodramatic. He’s not going anywhere

A wise man once told me that you can have all the money you want, but if you don’t have your health you ain’t got shite.

I feel as if most humans have this innate instinctual reaction when falling to lift and protect one’s head. But then there’s Tua. His innate instinctual reaction is to slam his head backwards. All of his concussions are normal falls/hits up until his momentum brings his head crashing down.

He let the ball roll off his hand. He's not concussed. If he was out of it, the ball falls out his hand. It's all BS.

NFL will not let him play again this year. It could literally end the league if he returns and gets seriously injured
Posted on 9/12/24 at 11:57 pm to SirWinston
At what point do we let personal accountability be a deciding factor? Tua is a participating adult being paid millions, he isn’t being forced to take these hits. If a player takes shot after shot to the head and wants to keep playing, that shouldn’t fall onto the NFL.

What a dumbass, looks paralyzed again. How does he not know to protect himself at this point. Hate that for him but damn.
Well to be fair, in his mind it’s the first time it’s happened…
