LINKY

No idea why they make this change now though. Fitz has been effective this year

Fitz on the year:
Passing: 70.1%, 1535 yds, 10/7 TD/int, 95 passer rating, 82.5 QBR
Rushing: 135 yds, 2 TDs
Record: 3-3, 2nd in AFC east, 1 behind Bills
Fitz is #7 in QBR on the year

Very odd timing, I'm guessing it wasn't the head coaches decision

How long until we hear Fitz to the Cowboys trade rumors?

Gotta be in the next hour

Makes sense to trade him while he’s hot to a wannabe contender. Cowboys, Bears, maybe even Browns. Skins?

Tua must be in great health then. Fitz looked pretty dang happy cheering Tua on the sideline, maybe his old self is ready for a break.

To be fair, we all know he will turn back into a pumpkin in short order

Might as well get ahead of the game before he has that 5 INT game that costs you a chance to be in the hunt for the division

it REALLY makes no sense b/c they're pretty solid and have Houston's 1/2, so it's not pressing to "get assets"

i imagine establishing a culture is worth more, given what they have sitting for them from BOB

Going to be interesting. Hope he’s fully healthy. He looked tiny out there.

Why not just wait until next year so he can go through a whole training camp and preseason schedule? Or at least wait until after the Ram game so he doesn't get killed by Donald.

Agreed. They’re in the hunt, let Fitz sling it around and keep the team competitive and let Tua learn from him with no pressure. That team is under talented compared to most teams in the hunt, Fitz has been propping them up. The team is going to look really bad with Tua probably and not help him learn

Bill O'Brien says Fitz for Elliot and a 2nd should happen.

Even as a Tua fan, I don't agree with this. Tua should continue to study under Fitzpatrick and earn his way into the starting position. Fitzpatrick will retire within the next year or two. That's when Tua can take over.

Jesus, this puts a ton of pressure on Tua.

I guess it makes some sense if they think they can get something nice for Fitz from a team that desperately needs a QB. But they have no clue if Tua can stay healthy yet. If he goes down they would have absolutely shite on the whole team.
