Thank god Bama got in...people would be saying, "ah they would've easily beat Michigan or Washington or Texas (a team they lost to).
Now obviously they're saying it about Georgia... A team that lost Bama...who lost to Texas and Michigan.
Some of you're nuts.
Still hanging onto past glory as the barometer for this year...or some still CFB ophthalmologists?

Georgia played a joke of a schedule and didn’t look particularly good doing it, then failed their only test. They got exactly what they deserved.

UGA was definitely the better team at the point in the season after they dismantled FSU and before Alabama disgraced the SEC. The Committee should have acted.

False. Head to head should matter more than anything else as long as everything else is equal enough.
Otherwise why even play the game.
Do I think we were one of the best 4 teams? Sure. Do I think we deserved to be in? No.

If UGA wanted in the CFP, they shouldn’t have shite the bed in the SEC title game.

This. False. The teams that are in deserve it. But do I think we would kick their arse? That’s a different question. Everyone knows the answer to that one

False. Florida State deserved to be there. Everyone else had their shots.

The whole problem with it all is that from the beginning the committee said they’d pick the pick the best 4. They may very well have done that again. I don’t think they did. It’s debatable. But I understand the reasoning

Georgia got a mulligan in 2021 after getting their arse raped by Bama in SEC Championship game.

As a lifelong Georgia fan I say no because of the way this season worked out. Some years they would have, just like a couple seasons back, but with the way things shook out this go around the SEC championship game was a de facto quarterfinal game and they lost.
On to next year.......

I think overall, via the entire season Georgia was the better team and would have ultimately 3 peated.
Sadly, it's not just losing one game, but when you lose it that matters.

Nobody has ever three-peated in the modern era AP. There seems to be a curse about it. Nobody counts Minnesota in the 30s, it was not the AP era...they won 1 AP and the previous various regional newspapers and indexes prior.
Who's had chances since 1936? The list...
Nebraska
Georgia
USC
Alabama
Notre Dame (multiple times)
Oklahoma
The closest was USC with their 36 game win streak..their 3rd year team was inches away against Texas. Notre Dame had some bad teams after two-time champions.
Oklahoma too.
Georgia is maybe the 2nd closest with their 29 game win streak.

Georgia should have gotten in over Texas certainly

False. Georgia lost the head to head matchup in their backyard. Should be the same standard for everyone.
Yes, I know if the situation was reversed, Bama likely gets in anyway, but I stick with what should be the standard.

Ignore the other 2 top 10 teams.

Neither Georgia nor Alabama were dominant teams this year.
A lot of people are overrating Georgia post mortem.

Both FSU and Georgia should’ve been ahead of Alabama.
Nothing could convince me otherwise.
