How about the elderly and at-risk people? I'm not gonna die from COVID, but someone else might die prematurely if I give it to them. What is so hard to understand?

Oh shite. Don’t they have Notre Dame in 9 days?
Yep, at Notre Dame. One of the QBs that has split time at 2nd string broke a finger two games ago.

Most likely he had no symptoms and didn’t know he had anything. Like vast majority people with this “big bad disease” that people have to get tested to see if they are even sick

Depending on the test date he’s probably out for that game. I don’t think ACC has a test out option. I don’t think they retest for false positives.

Amid Developing Science, Does Big Ten's 21-Day COVID Protocol Still Make Sense?
When the Big Ten instituted a 21-day window before players can return from a positive virus test, cardiac screening was the big reason why. Now, cardiologists say that testing may not be needed for many. ...

...In the same week that the 21-day policy ensnared one of the league’s high-profile players, some of the nation’s most acclaimed sports cardiologists published a revealing paper that may undermine the conference’s return-to-play rule less than two months after its adoption.

The nine-page report, heralded by physicians across the country, indicates that doctors are finding so few heart abnormalities in COVID-positive athletes that they are no longer recommending any cardiac screenings for those who experienced mild symptoms or no symptoms. ...

Cardiologists are finding so few heart issues in athletes they are no longer recommending screenings for most COVID positives.

The pretzels the Big 10 would twist themselves into if Justin fields tests positive would be a sight to see.
