If they lose him and trade AD, they have reset themselves. The roster without them (+Dybantsa) doesn't feel like they can do better than 10th for the play-in.

Meh he will negotiate a 3-4 year deal with Washington. He did everything right and was the ultimate team guy since joining DC so if he does somehow leave, kudos to him and wish him all the best. AD is the one that I wanted traded before the draft ideally. But players want to be in DC now under Winger and Dawkins (Presti tree)

That's a massive overpay. Atlanta basically got 19 points a game with better size and defense out of CJ McCollum at $21 million a year.
Not saying CJ is by any means a top tier defender, but he's better than Trae and throwing in 19 a game.
