Got a bonus and gapped them even

I really hope for cyclings sake this is legit. No one could have predicted this run from JA. Well done so far...

Alaphilippe is an absolute monster. Barring something catastrophic this is his tour to lose.

I'd like to watch the the commentary but frickin NBC showing me Nascar practice?! I don't watch the races anymore much less their practice

If froome or GT had one the TT then did well in the mtns, no one bats an eye though?

He is a monster, but he doesn’t have a team that can really support him. He’s going to see attacks from every guy possible on 18,19,20. I fear he may lose the jersey on stage 20, which would be heart break. Thomas, Bernal, and Kwik still pretty close. Pinot looks like a beast. Hoping Alaphilippe hangs on and Pinot cracks the podium.

If you asking if I believe sky and specifically froome are/were clean as a whistle...imo no but they’re pretty good at not getting sent to “time out”. JA is a fine TTer and been successful at climbing and chasing points in the mountains but has never been at the tip of the spear before and some wonder if this is his new norm or something else. If this is his new norm for an in shape and engaged JA, I’m fine with that because I like the guy as a rider. If not and god forbid the tour has to strip another yellow jersey off someone else’s back...that’s a black mark the sport doesn’t need. That’s all I was pointing out. Hope he’s clean and hangs on at this point.

Yes they are the seem to be horrible at tactics. You’d think they’d figure it out

It’s a horror movi! lol

Quintana leaving Movi will be a blessing
From a personal financial point of view I’d like JA to crack randomly and go back after the KoM as I have a big bet of him winning that and Sagan in green. It’s not much more than a week long stage race so I’m ok with what I’ve seen but I do think he will pop soon. He won’t have much support but his team dominated flat and hilly stages and Enrico Mas is a top 10 contender so he will be fine imo. I’m sure FDJ won’t oppose a Frenchman either
Kruijswijk got squeezed by Bernal and JA otherwise I think he could have got second.

The yellow jersey will almost certainly come down to the Val Thorens climb now. Given it is the only mountain top finish left JA's descending ability will make gaps hard to hold before then.
As for doping call me a cynic but I still think a massive percentage of the peloton is riding dirty. I will also say that cycling, particularly during the grand tours, was a helluva lot more exciting at the height of doping.

Chris Horner called them out on it earlier. He said they show up year after year with the same predictable tactics, and they always fail.
Quintana. Seems like he had one good year at the TDF early on, and he has just shite the bed and failed expectations every year since. Didn’t look up his stats, but it seems that way.
This has been a really entertaining tour. Lots of winners, and unpredictable on GC.

quote:oh it's that way for sure. Every fricking year. Hell he and Valverde have isolated Froome before and not done shite with it. Then Quintana will have a lame attack when the Tour is decided to get a stage win.

This is the best tour since Landis. So much better when Skybots aren’t able to just ride tempo. Another great stage setting up today!

Nairo peaked at 23. He’s borderline top 5 in Colombia

Let me guess, this move by Movistar won't work out.

Free Landa!!!
At least they are trying something unlike past years.
