serious question.
How has Chicago gotten better over the off season? I though losing Olsen was big. I like Forte but he seemed to have lost a step , along with the key defensive players.

I'm not sure to be honest...haven't heard that much about them...Olsen is a big loss. Roy Williams will be a help, but he is NOT reliable number 1 option. Cutler having another year with Martz will only help him.

This makes absolutely no sense.

NO and Green Bay are probably a push.

Atlanta >>>> Chicago.

Tampa Bay > Detroit. I'm sorry Suh saying they will go undefeated doesn't make them better than a proven team.

Chicago was the most overwhelming 10+ win team in recent years. Cutler is an idiot with the football, and that defense just keeps getting older, and older, and older...

I don't disagree that Atlanta is better than Chicago...but 'much better?' No way. Everyone is talking about Cutler...what has Matt Ryan done?

Tampa Bay is better than Detroit, but IF Stafford stays healthy, who knows their ceiling?

And I'm sorry...The Saints are currently not in the same stratosphere as GB. That doesn't mean that the Saints aren't elite...GB is probably the best team in football.

I can see GB getting the edge in GB v NO obviously because they won the Super Bowl. I wouldnt hate on anybody that thinks that. But they were still a six loss team and the Saints were a five loss team. Both had their fair share of injuries. So I can see it being a push.

I dont think Atl v Chicago is even debatable. A 13 win team vs a 11 win team that was about 25th in the league in thr major offensive stats and team that benefited from an easy schedule. And Cutler sucks IMO. And if anybody ever watched a Cowboys game over the past few years wouldnt think Roy Williams is a positive addition.

The Saints had their injuries...GB was the most injury-plagued team in the NFL last year...and they won the Super Bowl with all of the injuries. The Saints limped into the playoffs and got owned by Seattle. A push? lulz.

I would've loved to see Green Bay beat Seattle on the road with their 5th string running back and a banged up defensive line.

The saints were ranked ahead of Green bay in Total offense, passing (YPG), Total Defense, pass defense, and rushing defense in the regular season. And the only reason Green bay was ranked higher than the saints in rushing YPG is b/c we had freaking Julius Jones and Ladell Betts as our feature backs at one point.

Oh help me Rhonda...GB was more banged up! They beat Philly and ATL on the road.

So what are you trying to say? Look up how injured GB was last year, particularly toward the seasons end. They overcame every injury and became a better team. The Saints, with a lot of injuries, folded like a tent with their fans pointing fingers and making excuses the whole offseason.

Green Bay will be very good, and they should win the division again.
Prediction: 12-4

Minnesota still has all pretty much all the parts from that incredible season in 2009. They have the capability to completely turn it around. In fact, I think they make the playoffs as a wildcard.
Prediction: 10-6

Chicago is very, very overrated. They will regress and not even be a contender.
Prediction: 8-8

Detroit will have a positive year, and their future will continue to seem bright. A healthy Stafford is huge to this team's development.
Prediction: 8-8

Why not the NFC East?

I think the Eagles will be solid once again. The Giants will be physical, and tough like always. Dallas improves drastically and competes for a playoff spot. Washington is the x-factor.

I don't see Tampa Bay getting 10-wins. I use the same logic I used for the Saints in 2007. Tampa will be a better team, but they won so many close games last season, and I don't see things falling in place that way. I say 8-8 for the Bucs. The Saints rolling the dice with a rookie runner is sketch. They are a playoff team, but still soft in my opinion.

This leaves Atlanta and Carolina in the South...Falcons are legit, Panthers still suck. No rookie qb will have lots of success.

I don't see Chicago duplicating their season last year. Green Bay is 11 to 12 wins. Detroit continues to improve...but Minnesota continues to slide.

I am leaning towards the NFC East.

I'm not trying to take away anything that Green Bay did. It's very impressive what they overcame to win it all. But saying that Green Bay is clearly a better team than the saints is false. Considering that they were ranked higher than Green Bay in almost every major category and then got a little better in the offseason. I would say that Green Bay and New Orleans are about even right now...maybe green bay is a little better but not by much.

you do realize they were both wild cards & the Saints had a better record & were the higher seed

The NFC East is tough.

The Eagles are a SB contender. I think the Giants will have a very good team as well.

The Cowboys? I'm not sure on them...rough offseason. Lost a lot of pieces...and lost out on Nnamdi. Romo being back is a plus, obviously. I can see them being an 8 win team.

The Redskins? Don't see them going anywhere with Beck. 5-6 wins.

I'm laughing because you seem to think it's unbelievable that the Saints and Packers could be a push heading into the year. I'm not a Saints fan so its and unbiased opinion on my part ftr. I could care less about the Packers winning the Super Bowl. What, one team in the past what 14 years or so has repeated? The Saints were the better team in the regular season and I don't see it being that much different this year. Personally, on paper, I like the Eagles right now. Heck, if you just take the top three teams, NFC East has an argument too.
