Idk, probably both? I'm sure mentally it was nice for him to have no expectations. In CLE he was supposed to help them forget LeBron, then he goes to OKC where he's supposed to help take the edge off of the KD and Westbrook. In Miami, he was nobody. I think 2k had him as a 60 something rating to start the year.

Based on that article in the Players Tribune, he had never been in the shape he got himself into physically in Miami. I'm sure no pressure helped also.
