At this point I don’t even care where Trout ends up just that it’s somewhere we can see him playing in the postseason.

Except the Yankees.

So happy to see him have a bounce back. Hopefully the Angels find a way to end up the tallest midget in that division or he finds his way to a contender before he falls off a cliff

Listen the Nats have done some dumb trades recently and I can see them trading CJ, but if they trade Wood this season..the fanbase would revolt.

I've loved The Astros since I was little one and Glenn Davis was The Big Bopper, Mike Scott was a scuffing mofo, and The Dome was bigger than Yellowstone, I've seen the highs and the lows. As tough as it was the complete sell off years ago was the right thing and gave us 10 fun years. I want Crane to hire another Luhnow, a heartless numbers guy.

Trade it all away, keep Altuve cause he must be an Astro for life

Brown, you'll get a haul when he gets healthy.
Spaghetti should bring you nice pieces
Walker, actually has trade value now.
Parades, thanks but gimme prospects.
Correa, might be untradable with his contract.
Pena, gotta get prospects.
Cam Smith, get a box of dildos and call it a day.
Hader, I think could get a decent return.
Any other free agents, trade for anything.

Lastly, you harness Jimmy Johnson and screw a team the way he screwed The Vikings for Walker and get the biggest haul in history for Yordan. I mean want a teams top 3 or 4 prospects at minimum. Yordan makes peanuts by baseball terms.

It will suck for a few years. We did it before, I'm still pissed The Rockets screwed up this formula when they got Durant.

I imagine they’ll want MLB quality guys like a Wyler Abreu (who was in your system previously) with very high ceilings too.

This would be stupid. If they keep those guys and focus on adding pitching in the offseason, they'll be a 2027 playoff threat (if there's a season). They lead the league in runs scored right now.

Would love to see the Braves make a run at deGrom if the Rangers fall out of the race.

Pretty good pitching FA class although they’re likely going to be priced out of the top tier arms.

If they move anyone it’s likely to be Abrams imo. He would get you a haul of controllable, quality arms.

What would it take to get Yordan?

With the Astros Ownership and Front Office they'd be satisfied with a couple of 11th rounders and a bag of popcorn

the west is so mediocre it would take a fairly drastic collapse between now and july for anyone to be “out of it”. not impossible, just unlikely

Lance McCullers has been paid 70 million in the last 5 years to sit in the dugout. His contract is finally up. Should be able to buy a high end starter and let LMJ go blow games somewhere else.

I'd like to see him land in the NL - Cards, Brewers, Diamondbacks.

Spaghetti is 26, cheap, and doesn’t hit FA for four years. With the state of pitching injuries he’s a great deal. You don’t trade someone like that when trying to get younger. I think they will end up trading Pena, Brown, and some combo of Walker, Parades, and Hader before getting serious about Yordan. If the Astros think they can get a sufficient haul without trading him I think they may hold.

Neither do they have anyone on the MLB roster Pittsburgh would want.

He’ll be around shortly to tell us a package centered around Anthony “The next Jeter” Volpe will be enough

I think a package of Anthony Eyanson, either Marcelo Mayer or Wyler Abreu, Brayan Bello, and probably 3-4 more mid level prospects might get it done.
Never, a bunch of guys that won’t amount to anything for the greatest postseason hitter of all time cheap and still in his prime.

Something around Paredes and a controllable pitcher for Boston would make a lot of sense for both sides. Obviously not Tolle or Early, but Jake Bennett and another prospect feels about right

Story is out 6-10 weeks too. Not that anyone is in a hurry to get him back, but there’s more urgency now. Bennett might be a stretch given Paredes injury history, but that’s close.
