Too early to start talking MLB trade rumors?

If the Tigers don’t get a deal done for Skubal he’ll get dealt. The Nationals are intriguing because it’s rumored they might make James Woods or CJ Abrams available. The Giants are rumored to already be in full blown sell mode.
Red Sox and Astros might revisit the Paredes talks as Durbin has been a disaster.
What would it take to get Yordan?

I think a package of Anthony Eyanson, either Marcelo Mayer or Wyler Abreu, Brayan Bello, and probably 3-4 more mid level prospects might get it done.
Hard to get a read on what the Astros are going to do, although I would be shocked if they even entertain dealing Yordan.

Sox have made insanely questionable moves over the past five years with such a low success rate on acquisitions. They have some good prospects in the system but none that seem close to having an immediate impact.
So far, Suarez has been among the limited # of decent pickups after a bumpy start, he's settled in.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. It doesn’t seem to matter who the President of Baseball Ops is.
The Brewers in particular have fleeced the Sox two seasons in a row.

He and Sonny Gray have both settled in and been awesome. The whole staff has been very good. I saw a stat that if the Red Sox averaged just one more run per game, they’d have the best record in baseball
I think they’ll be in on a power bat.

Honestly Yordan probably has more trade value than Skubal. Hard to tell what's going on with his weird injury plus free agency
At least with Yordan you have one of the three most valuable offensive players in the game locked down at below market for the rest of his prime

This coupled with his established production and you’d have one of the biggest blockbuster deals of all time if he’s dealt.

It is difficult to forecast what the Astros will do with a lame duck GM. I can see them just selling off contracts (Walker, Hader) for a minimal return, maybe Paredes as well. It would be stunning if they dealt Yordan in July and I can’t see a scenario where they do that.

It would. I haven’t watched many of your games, but from the little I’ve seen it appears pitching has been a major letdown.
Who is rumored to become the new GM?

I’ll throw in Craig Breslow at no extra cost

Houston needs to deal everyone except Brown, Spaghettt, and Smith. They’ll keep Altuve and Correa solely on legacy, but the rest can go. Even Alvarez. Get a huge package for him and be done with it. He’s got two years left and he SHOULD bring back an enormous package.

Every team in the league would be in on Yordan. If you’re looking to avoid an extended rebuild, dealing him is the best way to do it.
Preferably to the Boston Red Sox.

They have him signed for 2027 and 2028, so really doubt they trade him now.
Paredes is a FA in 2028 and we don't even know if 2027 will happen, so I'd be shocked if they didn't trade him.
Jeremy Pena is in the same situation, FA in 2028. He should be offered to any contender.
Christian Walker is also a FA in 2028 and having a strong comeback season... he could be dealt.
Bryan Abreu and De Los Santos are both FA this off-season... trade them for a bucket of baseballs.

There was article last week discussing this. With two years left of club control after this season, an anonymous Executive stated that Yordan could fetch a package that could exceed what the Nationals got for Soto.

In my OOTP27 save, I extended him 10 years. 3 WS later, it was worth it.

No chance. You’re better off wasting your time trying to get Skubal instead.

They may as well...after they let bregman, springer, correa, etc alllll leave with nothing in return. If they aren't going to pay Yordan, it's psychotic to not get something for him at this point.
