My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused—those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession

And my question is: why are those mutually exclusive?
Does he really have no self awareness. His wife literally said she left him because she was unhappy over him prioritizing his career over his family.

Gisele's ridiculous insistence on Tom retiring so they could go... do what, exactly?
You dont think that was her clearly saying he isnt spending as much time with his kids as they need? Or her?

Nothing that they couldn't have done for twenty years even if Tom hadn't retired until he was 50.
And how much of his kids growing up would he have missed if that was the case?

Most kids don't get to spend 6 months with their dad every year in the offseason.
You're right, most kids spend just about every day with their parents.

FWIW another one of Andy Reid’s sons died of an opiate overdose at an Eagles training camp about a decade ago.
This was a sinecure position set up by his father.

From what I have seen his kids love him. Ex-wife is a different story. But his relationship with the kids is all that matters.

Brady is spot on. Great to see someone extolling the virtues of hard-work and commitment. This is the mindset that made America great.

In a different timeline Brady is the GOAT serial killer

With all due respect to Brady, the last thing Scottie needs is advice from him
Riiiiiight. Why get advise from the best to ever play his position....and a stone cold assassin winner.
He should take advise from Tiger...that went so well.
Some people just aren't meant to be legends, even though they are great.

Once guys become multi-millionaires in the NFL, or in sports or life in general, they should retire immediately to spend all their time with their wife and kids. Why would they continue to play or work? They have enough money to provide for their family for generations.
Conversely, it's not possible for professional athletes or guys who have time-consuming jobs to be good husbands and fathers. Like men on military deployment or away working an oil rig, their girlfriends and wives are justified in cheating on them because they're not around enough.

He isn’t exactly someone to get family advice from.

Brady is wrong, they do not know Scheffler, his problem was he was too focused on golf. he would overact to much early in his career. he made this change and exploded into literally one of the best players in history. I think he should just continue to do what he does.

You think Brady's kids faked their affection too? OJ Simpson-like? At their age?
