At this point, I'm just laughing at how amazingly bad it is.

I can't even get mad about it anymore, I don't have the energy. Sell the team, Bob.

I don’t understand how the Reds are so bad. Votto, Pham, Moustakas….none of those guys are scrubs. Maybe they’re tanking on purpose to force a sale and save this storied franchise.

Maybe to move the team to Louisiana or elsewhere? That is exactly what happened to the Rams. The team moved to Los Angeles when the team were tanking to get a good reason to move the team elsewhere when fans don't show up.

No way do they come to LA. My cousin owned the Zephyrs and I can tell you all about the disaster professional baseball is in Louisiana. I hope they’re not going to move the franchise anywhere. Where else do you get schools being closed for opening day? Too much tradition there to leave.

I mean they aren’t 3-21 bad but it’s close. Votto is 38 and is off to a slow start. Moose might be cooked. Pham is actually playing well. This roster was already pretty weak and then when you factor in the Castillo and India injuries then it’s easy to see why they’re so bad. At least Castillo will be back soon.

As for the rest of the players, could you imagine winning 83 games last season and then getting the very clear message from ownership that they not only aren’t going to try to compete l, but they’re going to actively tank without any attempt to bring in prospects to help the future? It’d be pretty hard for me to want to try very hard too once things started going bad.

Reds aren't going anywhere. Even if the arse clown ownership group did something that insane, this would be just like the Cleveland Browns....there would be a new Cincinnati Reds ASAP. Cincinnati is a baseball town.

The problem is all those guys you mentioned have significantly regressed. Votto and Moustakas are negative WAR players now.

Moose is a shell of his former self. He was atrocious last year.

Votto is off to a bad start but has shown time and again he can make shite happen. He's 38 though....age may finally be catching up to him but I won't doubt Joey until we see a full season of this kind of production.

Either way he's surpassed Barry Larkin and Eric Davis as my favorite Red.

I am not really a Reds fan but I try to keep up with the standings but have kind of lost track the last few years. How did the Reds get so bad?

Yeah, and they always have decent attendance when there's a good product out there. Cincinnati market is sneaky-large, as well. There's no major league team in Indy or Columbus. Dayton area is 1 million. Northern Kentucky is like 600 k.
