Oh shut up.
USC and UCLA were the only schools not to accept Prop 48 students in the 90's when every Pac school was using that as a way to accept athletes who could barely read.
Stanford was one of them. Stanford has the largest disparity in admission standards between regular student and Athlete.
Regular student you have to be Harvard level testing.
Athlete, you can be Bama level testing.

Hardly relevant.
Again, you were wrong. Taking about Stanford doesn’t change anything. You were wrong about USC and UCLA and SAT scores.
Don’t you ever get tired of looking stupid?

If you youtube search an interview with Sherman, its clear he thinks he scored a 1600

Never thought to look it up before, but his name made headines again so I decided to google it. Right around the 50th percentile. Think he re-took it and broke 1,000, but still pretty striking, assuming the internet is right.
I got a 1380 and didn't get into UVA.* Fockers discriminated against my WV'ness.
*not that that still bothers me or anything...just saying.

Kobe got a 1080. Pretty damn impressive for an athlete of his caliber.*
*65th percentile

A 20 gets you scholarships in Louisiana lol

Yes it is
It’s even like that for Ivys too
I had a cousin who was good at football get into Harvard with a 1200
Sure he had a 4.0 GPA too
But if he doesn’t play football he’s not at Harvard

Ok fine. He also took the Wonderlic and made a very unimpressive 24.

anyone looking up someone else’s SAT or ACT (maybe because he went to Stanford) seems petty and insecure-

Is he black? That helps too.

And a 20 is still stupid too

No
He was just a good football player with good grades
He also comes from money so his parents were going to be paying the full tuition, no type of financial aid or grants
All I’m saying is even at Harvard the football team isn’t full of Harvard level students
Posted on 10/9/19 at 7:52 am to dj30
Stanford’s business school once admitted a student who got a 550 on the GMAT. They can adjust whatever they want lol.

Sports are kind of the back way into Harvard/Yale/Princeton, especially if it is a sport they care about (e.g., football, basketball, or lacrosse). Hence the recent scandals.

Probably one of Lloyd Blankfein’s children

Same score here and had ivy offers, with a sub 3.0 unweighted

Yup
I’ve seen it myself mostly with lacrosse
I work with a bunch, they even tell me if not for lacrosse they would have been at a state school

Yeah back when Richard Sherman was acting like an arse on the reg with the Seahawks people here acted like it meant something that he went to Stanford.
You can be smart and still be a dumbass.

Eh, lacrosse is a predominantly white, upper middle class sport. Most of the big programs are very good academic schools. Duke, John's Hopkins, Syracuse, etc. So they might be at a state school without it, but a lot of football players wouldn't even be at a community college without football.
