How do you rupture an Achilles golfing? What kind of training was he doing?

John Wall tore his Achilles one time falling in the shower I believe.

These dudes are literally playing golf 6 days a week year round. That many rounds of golf takes a toll on your body.

Regular guys tear Achilles just by playing luck up basketball and they don’t have near the miles on them.

He is falling apart. He’ll end up in a wheelchair like Earl Campbell.

He needs to just retire

No one would blame him

Between his already bionic leg, he has this too

It gets everyone all excited “ TIGER WOODS HITTING OFF TEES AFTER SURGERY”

Few months later

“TIGER EYEING RETURN TO COMPETITIVE GOLF”

Few months later

“TIGER Unhealthy Undergoing SURGERY”

Rinse repeat

Hate to say it but I’m starting to believe that the steroid rumors about Tiger have a lot of credence. It makes no sense for a golfer to have similar injuries to football players and soccer players unless his body is completely breaking down from long-term PED use.

Hate that for him. It may honestly be time. I think those of us that are in our 30's really hoped we would get to see the old tiger again, because honestly he was the only reason a lot of us watched golf. As someone mentioned we got the 2019 Masters.

Athletic recently had an article that discussed how an athlete is not at full performance from such an injury til his second season

Thank god I don’t have to watch every single shot of his on ESPN’s shitty Masters coverage again. You’d think he’s the only person playing.

He's also 49. Your body isn't going to stop breaking down at that age.

Hey, goddamnit, 49 is young!

yep. if there's any positive spin it's this. even when tiger was 10 shots back they would show most (if not all) of his shots. i understand why though.

I had an Achilles injury in high school. Took 12 weeks before I was out of a cast, then PT for six months before I could even swing a golf club with any force. And I was a young, rapid healer in comparison to guy ready to go on the seniors tour.
