This is such a simplistic way to put it, but you’re right. If you are going to throw in the towel with over 75 games left and SGA healthy, then you don’t have the depth necessary to win a title.

JDub is the difference maker in playoffs. We can still win a lot of games but he makes a difference. Year before him and SGA were unstoppable. Last year he got hurt in early playoffs and we lost to Spurts in WCFs. Thats what will be missing. Presti can make some moves but its unlikely enough to move playoff needle. This is MJ losing Pippen.

It was a reckless play. OKC got rid of depth this offseason for cap space to pay guys like Jdub so this sucks. Best case scenario is he’s out for the year and back by summer camp. Worst case is Gordon Haywood. Just hate to see it happen to one of most likable guys on the team and in the league.

I feel bad for Jalen and definitely dont feel bad for the Thunder fans. Your player took out one of my teams dudes on a dirty play. Your team has injured several other players on dirty plays.

If an OKC center set a screen so hard it caused a player to be out 4 months (Cason) and then tackled another player in mid air breaking his ankle leading to a season ending injury, (JDub) there would be endless 500k like posts about how reckless and dirty OKC is.
Instead it happens to OKC and we get posts about how Dort used to be dirty and our players deserve it.

I can’t imagine what X and Reddit would be today if the Thunder knocked THREE players out from another team, including a major injury to a star on a title contending team.

Im a basketball fan and have been for a long time. I used to watch the NBA a lot more than i can tolerate now. Mostly, the officiating is WWF terrible. And they clearly show favoritism towards the narrative.
But my God, watching Luka is the worst experience ive seen in a while. He is so soft and wines and cries after every single play, non stop, the entire game.
