I'd love to see Berkman get there, he's one of my all-time favorites, but he had no shot.

If I'm voting...
Bonds
Clemens
Halladay
Helton
Martinez
Mussina
Ramirez
Rivera
Schilling
Vizquel

I always love the first year guys whose honor is simply making the ballot, like Polanco or Ankiel. I mean, Ted Lilly's not getting a vote, but it's cool he made the ballot and will get talked about a little bit.

Helton will eventually get in. Halladay too although I’m not sure about year one. Rivera is a year one lock. Pettite certainly has the resume but far better players are waiting to see if they get in because of PEDs.

Edgar will get in this year and also I think Mussina gets in. Add in Rivera and that’s a traditional half of fame class size. I wonder if the momentum will finally get Bonds and Clemens in this year.

Rivera is a first ballot lock. I want to see Helton in. The guy was overlooked his whole career simply because he played in Coors and on many bad Rockies teams. With that said, sweet swing and a great hitter. I don’t think he’s first ballot.

Halliday is interesting with his recent death. Does sympathy swing some votes his way?

Edgar should get in this year. I still remember that grand slam against the Yanks in the 95 ALDS.

Pettitte is also a unique case. He is from the steroid era, and an admitted user. Since he didn’t fight the establishment, does he get closer?

My 10:
1. Mo
2. Bonds
3. Edgar
4. Clemens
5. Mussina
6. Walker
7. Manny
8. Wagner
9. Halladay
10. Kent

did these in no particular order, just as I saw them on the list. I did have Mo first because he deserves it.

You're just going to ignore those 14 innings that Darren Oliver pitched for the Astros in 2004?

Steroids aside he did it to himself. Was a complete POS to his teammates and reporters. It's pretty heard to be elected when you piss off all of the voters.

pretty dumb to have a HOF system that goes off of how much you kissed the medias arse instead of how well you played baseball

Agreed, thats the complete opposite of what a meritocracy is supposed to be however thats the entity the HOF decided to vest the enshrinement power so we take the good with the bad; however any objective measure proves Bonds deserves enshrinement so so dominant

This is the most critical vote. Players now get removed from the ballot after 10 years and you need 75% of the vote to get inducted. Edgar is right on the line, but this is his last chance. It will be the most closely watched candidacy of this year.

With Mo being the only 100% lock this year, Halladay would be the other consideration, Edgar and Mussina should get in as well.
