They are averaging 20k fans at games right now and this week was bigger than last week through 2. I've noticed sports commentators have less giggles about the league and have more actual commentating realizing the product is decent.

QB play will slow development, but it won't stop it. I can see some rules being brought in next year like illegal defense to allow QBs more time to throw. Also, wouldn't be surprised if we see more mobile QBs in this league moving forward. They aren't trying to be the NFL, so if the league wins by using more college type QBs than NFL, then thats the route they need to go. I could see this league become very successful.

Me too, I can definitely see this league sticking around. The play is entertaining and the pace of place is outstanding. The first game yesterday was finished in less than three hours. Far less down time than the NFL.

Definitely need to improve the QB play outside of Houston and DC though.

If it fails it’s going to be due to poor quarterback play.

Assholes want this league to fail so bad just to say they called it

XFL threads aren’t bumping anything off the board. Don’t like it? Don’t read it.

Give me and the rest of the people who enjoy extra football a fricking break, already

I never said I wanted it to fail. But it will fail. New leagues don't make it. People are stuck on the NFL and college football

Even if the XFL were to fail I'm never going back to the NFL.

I turned it on for all of five minutes yesterday and saw all I needed to see to know it wouldn't last: some woman in the booth pulling a complete hatchet job on the replay process.

I watched week one but could not watch more than one quarter of the DC/NY game. I have seen a lot of QBs miss receivers by 15-30 yards downfield. Dropped passes. It seems like I am watching an amateur league.

I will watch the Dallas and Houston games today but right now the XFL is not doing it for me for some reason ?

“Hey Vince why are you folding the league”

“Well, to be honest, there is a site called tigerdroppings and in week 2 there was only 7 threads started about the league during the first game slate so we figured that must mean no one is watching”

This board determines national ratings?

You didn't know?

The reason Star Wars will flop is because the MTV board didn't have the first page filled with threads.

The board is indicative of the league’s inability to create sustained, long term interest

If that were true then the NHL would’ve folded years ago

If football is on tv I will watch it. Some folks have unreal expectations from players and coaches that have been together a month or so. Even college players have been on their team from 3-5 years.

I’ll hijack this thread for a bit,,,,,do you think the NFL is actively trying to undermine the XFL. No proof, just a question.
