This is what I hate about Boise

Media continuously talking about how good they are because they beat the big programs.
Yesterday it was Georgia, who may not even be ranked at the end of the season.
Colin Cowherd will be all over Boise's arse on Tuesday, while all last week he continuously said "Georgia is just not that good." So which is it.

Boise is not that good they played a Georgia team that will not be ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season and will problly finish 3rd in there division

They won't be ranked. They will get grinded up by South Carolina, Florida among others. Auburn is going to get raped in the SEC.

I agree that beating Georgia isn't what its being made out to be but can some of you start giving some respect to Boise? They're a good team with exceptional coaching. They're capable of beating the big dogs in a one game showdown. They don't belong in the title game but I have no problem giving them a BCS slot if they go undefeated.

i just think a preseason ranking of 5 is ridiculous, unless the pollsters have a line drawn and say YOU SHALL NOT PASS

We have this discussion about Boise every year. Have no fear, they won't be in the title game. It would take a season like 07 for them to even have a shot. A one loss BCS conference team deserves a spot in the title game over Boise.
Im just like you, i've never liked Boise but i'm starting to respect that program. Chris Peterson is a hell of a coach. I wonder if UGA will make a try at the guy if they fire Richt.

it's not that i don't like BSU, it's that i hate the hype/rankings they get now
it was one thing after the fiesta bowl, when they were the little engine that could
now they get a preseason top 5 ranking, beat a UGA team ranked 19th (soon to be out), and people are using that as some great example. if they really are a top 5 team, that's expected and isn't a big deal

Exactly.
I do think they have a good program and a good coach. But now they go into cruise control for most of the season.

As was discussed last night, if the BCS does its job, then Boise doesn't make the NCG save a 2 loss fiasco. I would even go as far as saying, that if Georgia runs the table & wins the SECCG, & it's between them & Boise for the other spot(say OK goes undefeated), that Georgia would get in. Not saying that it would definitely happen, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Cowherd will be consistant, he will bag on uga, say kellen moors is a great qb, BUT he will also say boise still isn't good enough...that's not both ways.
I don't agree though, anytime you fly cross country and beat a touted program, in their house that says something ...go look up all the #5s vs other top 20 teams at the latter's home court and see what you find...its tough to win on the road against good opponents.
Arkansas jacks us up every other year, usually when we are at #5. Cause that shite is tough.

I think if Boise plays Oregon, Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Bama, Tennesee, West Virginia and Miss State (or some variation of that) Arkansas jacks them up nearly every year at Thanksgiving.

the detractors want it both ways as well. If they had lost to UGA, people would be saying see they don't belong, after they win, its, well UGA's really not that good.
I agree with RDLSC, they cap out at 3, like TCU last year, unless we have a year like 07.

I don't think it's both ways. Brogue isn't good and I never thought they were. You lose to them and who cares Georgia was weak, you win and who cares Georgia is weak.

They've beaten the Big 12 Champs, the Pac 10 Champs, the ACC Champs and if Georgia were to run the table the SEC Champs.

the sad thing is we will never see how good this team really is/was because of the retarded bcs system.

fricking 100% agree, RLDSC. Boise is good, I don't see how anyone can disagree with that, but if we only get 2 spots in the title game then I don't see how anyone can say they've done enough when teams like LSU/Bama play 6-7 teams better than UGA

No, we can see how good they are, they are good, worthy of a BCS Bowl, and maybe a spot in a 4 team playoff, but they simple do not play a good enough schedule to be in a 2 team title game.
The sad part is the people who think going 13-0 and winning the Rose Bowl is not a good season.
