The LSU football ones have mostly been mentioned. A couple of others i thought of.
The last Olympics the USSR existed the US lost to them in basketball and won the bronze.
2013 CWS if they had the old bats or still played in Rosenblatt LSU probably wins. Instead we get the ultimate small ball team, the worst kind of baseball as champ
That the late 80s early 90s "run and shoot" Oilers never got out of the divisional round and people think Les Miles under achieved.
That the Spurs have had 1 losing season in 20 something years and that got them the first pick and Tim Duncan.
The 89-90 LSU basketball team with Chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts and Shaq had some thrilling wins (UNLV, Marymount) but some devastating losses including the 2nd round loss to GT, win that and we go to FF

the Saints only have one Super Bowl with one of the GOAT quarterbacks
I wouldn't really say this is depressing. Winning a SB is hard. The bad part is only making the playoffs 5 years out of 11 with Brees.

The Marlins do not have more titles than the Braves....

South Carolina could beat Clemson every year for the next 25 years and still not lead the all-time series.

Similar stat...the Saints would have to go unbeaten for the next 5 seasons + 9 games to achieve an all-time record of .500.
Or in more "realistic" terms, if they went 10-6 every year, it would take them 23 seasons to get above .500.
Their all-time record is 338-427-5. I am going to go ahead and say that everyone who reads this will be dearly departed before the Saints ever get above .500 all time, if it EVER happens.

Kentucky 38-1. Getting beat by Wisky at the Final Four.

Saints fan here...and I can't say I disagree with this.

I enjoy watching soccer, but the offsides stuff is BS the majority of the time. Really needs to be changed

Being a young Braves fan was always frustrating. For me to not remember the 95 WS due to my age but recall all of the division championships but no other WS titles is irritating.

good point...but I can safely say Mr. Benson won't be here to see the Saints get to .500 overall.
