These kinds of low expectations are self-fulfilling. Kids of all ages can and should display character. That's not some old-fashioned notion.
I'm not saying this kid, of whom I know almost nothing, doesn't have good character, just making a general point.

You make a good point.

I'm just thinking back to when I was 15. If random internet posters were to judge me back then, it wouldn't be pretty.

You didn't watch the game/highlights closely then. Out of the 92 points, only 26 or so were 'cherry picked.' His aau team is complete trash. Although the style of play that aau embraces is run and gun and shoot the hell outta the ball. No fundamentals at all or team effort. All
About what I can do.

i played organized and AAU ball for what... 7 years from 4th grade to 12th grade and I am really racking my brain... i don't think i've ever shot a ball from half court, even at a buzzer. I had (still have) an extremely tight handle but never went out of my way to be overly flashy and show it off for no fricking reason and I never cherry picked. i would like, automatically take myself out the game for shooting shite like that. Just some shite you do in a game you instinctively know to take your arse to the bench.

Lamelo ball might be the worst of the bunch. I mean lonzo's game i dont' like him but i mean he is a decent player. lamelo is basically the dondald trump of AAU basketball players.

and I mean if you look at the type he's not even the most atlhetic guy on his own team. it's not like he's the only good player on the team there are a few good ballers on that team that just got to be pissed off that this **** is hogging the ball

Come on man. Don't be naive. When Steph starting jacking up from 35 feet and making them consistently, it was only a matter of time before that happene at the lower levels. AAU is changing from what I've seen. It's all about me. Majority aren't playing defense. Nobody is trying to Play and be on the wrong end of the 10 second highlight.

I'll be that guy. That kid is as bad as his dad if not worse. Talks shite to everyone on the travel ball circuit.

I don't think the younger ones are as highly rated as Lonzo.

He shot 61 times. 37/61 from the field. No one else on the team hardly shot.

I mean I get going after lonzo and lavar, but even I have a hard time talking shite about a kid who just finished his sophomore year of high school

It could very well just be me. And if so, then I will just see myself out

Talking shite on LaMelo is more talking shite about Lavar than anything. This wouldn't have found its way to the MSB without Lavar.

Yeah the brand the dad is pushing is hyping up all three as some kind super basketball family. Putting a lot of pressure on the younger two.

While I think you're right, LaMelo (younger ball) is rated as a 5 star. He's extremely good, somebody just needs to teach him some discipline.

A little back story on that game... apparently one of his classmates acquired cancer sometime during the school year and that game was dedicated to her? They decided before hand he would take the majority of the shots.

He's class of 2019. He doesn't look physically up to par for a big D-1 player. I thought he was a 3 star. Incredible. Good luck UCLA.
