I mean I get going after lonzo and lavar, but even I have a hard time talking shite about a kid who just finished his sophomore year of high school

It could very well just be me. And if so, then I will just see myself out

It's naive to think the general public won't do it after how Lavar has acted. That's the pressure cooker he's thrown his kids into. Dealing with the hype and pressure of being a lottery pick or a 5* prospect is hard enough, and he's made it significantly harder on them now

Using your teenage kids athletic ability as a vehicle for mass media attention in the way he has is significantly weirder and worse IMO

They'll be fine. Doesn't appear that he raised them to be snowflakes

A little back story on that game... apparently one of his classmates acquired cancer sometime during the school year and that game was dedicated to her? They decided before hand he would take the majority of the shots.

I don't see how thats selfless on his part because he still gets to score for himself and he obviously got all of the glory. He also stood at the other end of the floor and didn't play defense. Video below.

I think Lavar is a fantastic dad, but as a manager or someone who has to talk to the media, he's an idiot. But I can't blame him. He's consistently staying in the media drawing attention to BBB

Trust me. I get it. It irked me when it first came out and it blew up everywhere. But the more I talked and heard people speak on it, it made sense. The other team couldn't stop it so why should he. Chino Hills played defense pretty much the entire second half 5-4. Nobody stayed back to guard him.

I'm just saying that he's still drawing attention to himself...by playing a sport he would want to draw attention to himself anyways.

I don't understand "game devotions" and such to situations like those on any level. I put them on the level of twitter "charitable acts".

#prayingforparis

#pray4manchester

etc. etc.

What good does that do?

Is he raising money for her? Did this raise any money for her donation?

Oh yeah I agree. I just thought I would share that little tid bit.

Devils Advocate... he scores 92, tons of press, and it eventually comes up in why he took so many, blah, blah, blah. He responds with in my classmate has cancer we just wanna make people aware.

quite a few 5 star sophmores end up 3 star seniors. i know arkansas has recruited qwuite a few the last one being aaron ross who was like a top 10 player as a sophmore and by the time he was a senior was a top 150 3 star

lamelo is not a 5 star player neither is his brother. he's not the athlete to be a 5 star

Are you really on a message board bragging about your 4th grade AAU skills?

wasn't his 92 point game a high school game?

Whatever level it was that was the biggest joke of a game I've ever seen. The Globetrotters and Generals played more D on each other than the kids in that game.

i don't even have a problem with the 92 point game i really do not. mny thing is shite, let me shoot 61 fricking times in a game and it's pretty hard not to look good against anyone.

He'll be rated somewhere around his middle brother when the final rankings for his class come out. He's gonna be passed physically by allot of guys. He's not overly talented at all.

He was playing against an All-star team of seniors and juniors. You have to give props to Lavar, he pushes his kids against the best.

a 5 star can and does play above their age ranks. malik monk was destroying juniors and seniors when he was a freshman on the AAU circuit.

this kid just don't have it.
