You're going to have some competition for him.

Why would he downgrade?

I'm not confident LSU is capable of making the obvious hire. It'll probably end up being Bo Pelini.

true, but considering the resources and talent that will be inherited, it's a damn good job.

The sad thing is, Bo would actually be better than what we have now.

LSU needs more Emmerts and O'Keefes, less Allevas and Alexanders

I'm pretty sure they will not hire a coordinator.

Herman would come to LSU for the same reason Saban left Mich St and Miles left OK St. Top Tier Program. Lots of talent on roster. Extremely fertile recruiting ground with no instate competition.

Why would he leave Houston?

Has a lot talent in Houston area, and tons of talent in the state of Texas.

Easier shot at Playoff spot, yearly.

He won't sniff a playoff at LSU, while Saban is at bama.

Dude come on. Herman is NOT staying at Houston. For one they can't pay him near what an SEC school can.

I mean, they're paying him 3 million per year and he's already turned down at least one SEC job.

Why would anybody want to take a state job in the state of Louisiana these days?

It's difficult to see the administration defending Les anymore.

He had a good run...10+ years kicks most out the door - even those with more success. Look at history. Things become stale.
