Sagarin's ratings look "good" because that a-hole uses a "preseason" rating. In other words, teams are rewarded for doing absolutely nothing this year. What other computer rankings don't look fricked up? Most of them are smart enough to not publish till week 5. Colley's rating will surely looked messed up.
When all you have is 2 games played, it should look terrible. You have no objective way to know if Vandy and UW are awesome or terrible (hell, they are undefeated when playing teams not-named LSU)

Well after week 1, sun belt teams that were 1-0 were ranked 60 spots higher than Georgia and Virginia Tech in the Colley Matrix.
I think Tuba added an MOV component because people demanded it. I wish Tuba would explain his poll better rather than just release after week 2 every year knowing that it looks stupid and asking to get berated

i doubt he even considers it 'beratement' considering its only the idiots who don't get it - no need to even try to explain to them and its been this way for years. I like seeing the different ways to calculate rankings - shows us how small of a factor can make a big difference and sometimes I wish there was no 'human element' to the polls so that no one could argue bias - #'s don't (usually) lie.

ETA: Upon further review I now see this is just a lighthearted troll. If you're ranking only on this season assuming that everyone starts from scratch, you don't have enough data to post anything reliable. Be interesting to see how it shapes up in say, 6 weeks though.
