The Sun Belt is the last of a dying breed in FBS

As geographical of a conference as you can get in this era. As far west as Arkansas and Louisiana, as far north/east as Virginia and the Carolinas.
They have an East and West division perfectly geographically sorted if you look at a map. They are the last FBS conference to still have divisions. On top of that, an on-campus conference championship game, where the division winner with the better conf record hosts.
Long way to go, but as of right now? The Sun Belt title game would be in Ruston with La Tech hosting James Madison.

When I think of a sun belt location and nice weather, the first place that comes to mind is Huntington, West Virginia

It's also the 4th best baseball conference. I would say it's a power conference for that sport, performance-wise. Not relative to spending power.

I know I sound like a boomer but I enjoy what The Sun Belt is. It still feels like college football.
These Big 10 games with UCLA playing Maryland or someone don't feel like college football anymore. An SMU buddy has a shirt that says "The ACC Goes Through Dallas." What sounds right about that?

I know USM is spending a good chunk of change in baseball NIL. It’s a fun baseball league to follow, and to me it’s the only conference that money hasn’t fully corrupted yet.

Once the 5 for 5 goes into effect with one 1 free transfer before having to sit a year, the SBC will overcome all other G6 leagues.

Not to highjack the thread, but with 5in5 now the rule it makes a very compelling case to do revert back to those transfer rules.
One free transfer, sit a year on any after that unless you've graduated. It re-emphasizes the education part for the guys that want the second free transfer. It would help stabilize things a little bit, but they'd have to figure out a way to do it that doesn't "impede the rights of the players" even though the players willingly opted in to all these rules they subsequently sued to change.

If we can beat South Alabama on the road this weekend then it will take a lot for us not to be playing in the Sun Belt Championship game first weekend in December.

I believe this is part of the Save College Sports Act.
